TMA is seeking a Senior Copywriter with a strong conceptual background to join a highly collaborative team that values enthusiasm, initiative, curiosity, kindness and did we mention collaboration? We’re looking for someone with a passion for ideas that transcend the page. A storyteller who has the desire to push our national clients to new places. A colleague that embraces unconventional thinking and the notion that good ideas can come from anywhere, but aims to be a beacon to inspire others with their own thinking.
Responsibilities:
- Develop engaging concepts from start to finish across all media and non-media executions.
- A storytelling approach to writing ideas from inspiration to ways to execute—ideas that will be noticed and shared by media and consumers alike.
- Salesmanship: an ability to deliver those ideas internally and to clients in engaging presentations.
- Be a connoisseur of cultural trends and proactively seek out new ones. We are all passionate students here.
- Build and nurture relationships with teammates as well as clients. Let’s be friends.
- Effectively apply feedback from Creative Directors and clients into creative executions.
- Be confident enough to defend your work and strong enough to let it go.
- Offer ideas to encourage/guide other members of the creative team.
- Become an expert in the marketplaces of our clients.
- Be funny on cue. Just kidding, we know it takes time. But seriously, be funny.
- Complete timesheets on time. Yeah, we said it.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in a directly related field.
- Don’t have 5+ years of agency experience as a Copywriter? Go for it anyway (Also, see next few bullets).
- Portfolio of work demonstrating the ability to turn strategy into can’t-look-away creative.
- A knack for writing with wit and humor.
- Ideas that transcend media. We don’t just want to see your reel or portfolio of ads and social posts. We’d like you to tell us about the bigger idea you sold that all those executions lived under. We’d love it even more if you told us how you managed to sell that crazy idea.
- Present ideas in a way that gets heads nodding, laughing and crying.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills - When you don’t have all the answers, you use those strong comm skills to ask the team. Go team!
- Deadlines. You know them well and even, dare we say it, thrive on them.
