Summary
The Sr. Copywriter will be primarily focused on writing Email Marketing/Display advertising materials, reporting into Creative Services. This writer’s key responsibilities will be driving leads for the channel by writing best-in-class Emails, banner advertising and product specific materials.
Essential Job Functions:
Writing Responsibilities
Write for new Email and Banner advertising.
Re-write existing creative based on best-in-class solutions.
Proof read copy written by other writers.
Write product specific language and other collateral materials.
Software/System Usage
This person should have advanced skills using Microsoft Office programs (Word, PPT).
Email/Industry Knowledge
This person will have up to 5 years experience writing best-in-class Emails.
This person will have written content and up to 3 years experience in the Mortgage industry.
This person will be familiar with Email deployment solutions.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Other Related Duties:
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (BFA) from four-year College or University.
5-10 years of experience within a corporate or agency environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
Must previously have working in the Mortgage or Financial Services industry.
Proven ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
Excellent problem resolution skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Customer Service Relationships:
Anticipates customer needs and regularly motivates or influences others to deliver customer service excellence. May troubleshoot highly sensitive or confidential issues. Personally ensures problem resolution. Identifies barriers to effective customer service and sets customer service standards. Establishes a customer feedback system and holds self-accountable for customer service excellence within the department
Work Complexity:
Tasks and responsibilities require integration of diverse functional areas and involve variables that are more abstract. Work is substantially complex and varied, and requires the interpretation of technical and detailed guidelines, policies and procedures in combination.
Work Environment:
Work involves some exposure to moderate risk of accident and requires following basic safety precautions. Position requires light physical activity.
