Reporting to the Sr. Director of Content Marketing, this role executes content strategies that bring ideas and messaging frameworks to life. The Sr. Content Marketing Specialist creates high-quality, audience-focused content and copywritten assets that strengthen brand awareness, support campaigns, and drive meaningful engagement.
This role ensures campaign messaging remains consistent, compelling, and effective across every channel — from digital campaigns and social media to blog content and other owned platforms. The Sr. Content Marketing Specialist will develop on-brand, audience-relevant content that elevates the organization’s voice. They are naturally curious and skilled at asking the right questions to uncover insights that shape clear, impactful storytelling. With a strong ability to both create new assets and repurpose existing assets, they adapt thought leadership and campaign content to resonate with prospect and member audiences.
They will also monitor and analyze content performance metrics, providing insights and data-driven recommendations to enhance reach and impact. In partnership with cross-functional teams, this role contributes to market research efforts to better understand audience needs, industry trends, and the evolving healthcare landscape, while supporting omnichannel content distribution and campaign execution across both digital and traditional platforms. The Sr. Content Marketing Specialist also monitors and reports on content performance metrics, providing data-driven recommendations to optimize results.
The leader in this role should be commercial leaning, driven and creative, have a firm grasp of current marketing tools and strategies, and can execute content from conception and implementation to optimization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop compelling content that drives the execution of marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
- Ensure campaign messaging is clear, consistent, and effective across all platforms to increase engagement and brand awareness.
- Create high-quality, on-brand content for social media, blogs, and other digital platforms, maintaining a unified voice across all touchpoints.
- Repurpose existing content to effectively reach and engage prospect marketing audiences.
- Leverage curiosity and strong analytical thinking to ask insightful questions that inform messaging and storytelling.
- Track and analyze content performance metrics, providing actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Support omnichannel content distribution and monitor performance across both digital and traditional marketing channels.
- Maintain brand integrity by ensuring alignment with established guidelines across all marketing materials and communications.
- Assist in the development of promotional assets for trade shows, conferences, and other events, including flyers, brochures, and post-event recaps.
- Contribute to market and audience research to better understand independent primary care practices, healthcare trends, and the competitive landscape.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Skills & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications or related field
Minimum Qualifications
- 3-5+ years’ experience in content marketing or copywriting
- Demonstrated strong communication skills - writing, presentation development, collateral development
- Ability to partner cross-functionally
- High proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Healthcare experience required
Skills/Knowledge
- Experience in marketing or related role with direct, original authorship of various types
- Experience creating and managing integrated thought leadership strategy via multi-channel delivery
- Ability to translate product features and benefits into easily understood value-driven messages that can be used to amplify our brand
- Ability to communicate product information in a concise and understandable manner for optimal conversion
- Mastery of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with SharePoint and website content management systems
- Must enjoy working with information that is technical in nature and tailoring that information for both lay and specialized audiences
- Must possess high emotional intelligence
- Demonstrate proven ability to collaborate with and support multiple stakeholder groups with competing priorities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Possess confidence and poise when presenting to and interacting with executive leadership
- Must be results-oriented and commercial-leaning, with a data-driven personality
Work Environment/Physical Demands
- While at work, this position is primarily a sedentary job and requires that the associate can work in an environment where they will consistently be seated for the majority of the workday
- This position requires the ability to observe a computer screen for long periods of time to observe their own and others’ work, as well as incoming and outgoing communications via the computer and/ or mobile devices
- The role necessitates the ability to listen and speak clearly to internal and external customers
- Travel is required (~25%)
