We have an opportunity for a Sr Content and Campaigns Communication Specialist to join us at Honeywell, in Bucharest, where you will be reporting to the Creative and Editorial COE Lead. This is an extraordinary opportunity for a poised and savvy communications professional who wants to help shape the future.

This role will develop enterprise-level content that advances Honeywell's priorities while setting the standard for clarity, quality and consistency. This role will contribute to Honeywell's enterprise content strategy and communications channels, which include but are not limited to our weekly newsletter, our intranet and enterprise-wide campaigns, as well as external communications and brand initiatives. This role will also provide services as part of the Creative and Editorial Center of Excellence ("COE") to raise the bar on the writing of the communications and brand function.

The ideal candidate will be a confident, independent communications professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience. A corporate or agency background is a plus, especially with a proven track record of driving internal communications and content creation success. This individual should have outstanding written and verbal communication skills and a keen interest in understanding the business, a strong orientation toward process and organization, an interest in creatively engaging target audiences, and the ability to influence partners and clients in a highly matrixed corporate environment. Outstanding written and verbal communication are required, as is mastery of Associated Press Style.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office and 2 days work from home model.

Key responsibilities

  • Write and edit executive communications, including leadership messages, speeches and enterprise announcements that drive strategic clarity and employee engagement.
  • Develop feature articles, long-form narratives and multi-channel storytelling that connects internal and external audiences to Honeywell's strategy, culture, brand and positioning as the leading automation company.
  • Drive an omnichannel approach to campaigns and projects, thinking of creative activations and channels to engage target audiences in a memorable way. 
  • Create content for enterprise-wide communications, including our weekly newsletter and other company-wide initiatives, as well as external communications including press releases, brand content, customer communications and thought leadership.
  • Support major initiatives, organization transitions, leadership changes and other transformation steps through innovative and effective communication plans that address the needs of varied audiences and stakeholders.
  • Raise the bar on the quality of communication by guiding content strategies that result in elegantly simple, visually compelling and easily understandable communications.
  • Serve as editorial gatekeeper, ensuring all COE output meets quality standards for clarity, accuracy and brand voice.
  • Focus on executing the details around communications excellence, including content development and message delivery.
  • Support cross-company measurement of content effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee and contribute to editorial planning/development in support of Honeywell's strategic initiatives.
  • Coach communicators on effective writing techniques, storytelling approaches, and best practices.

  • A highly organized and detail-oriented mindset with excellent project management skills.
  • A willingness to challenge the status quo, think creatively and take intelligent risks in raising the quality of communications across Honeywell
  • Intimate understanding of digital communications channels and an advanced understanding of how best to leverage channels such as Viva Engage and other enterprise-wide platforms to promote employee engagement
  • A future-aligned mindset with digital tools, including the use of AI in communications
  • Experience with content management systems, digital publishing platforms and AI tools for content creation and optimization
  • A drive for supporting campaigns with metrics that support outcomes that drive Honeywell’s goal to accelerate growth
  • The ability to provide strategic content counsel and assist in developing plans that drive results
  • An extraordinary ability to work productively with executives, clients and partners at all levels
  • The ability to handle pressures and demands from multiple clients and competing priorities
  • A portfolio demonstrating range across formats including executive communications, features, web content and social media
