Job Description

We are looking for a strategic and consumer-focused Senior Consumer Marketing Manager to help shape the future of Philips Sonicare.

The role will translate consumer needs, category insights and business opportunities into compelling propositions, portfolio choices and innovation priorities. Working across consumer insights, design, product development, clinical, commercial and regional teams, the successful candidate will ensure that new propositions are differentiated, validated and commercially relevant.

Your responsibilities:
  • Develop a deep understanding of consumer needs, category dynamics, competitive activity and emerging trends.
  • Translate insights into clear recommendations for propositions, portfolio architecture and innovation roadmaps.
  • Lead the development of consumer value propositions, benefit hierarchies, claims, reasons to believe and messaging.
  • Create compelling proposition and feature ladders across price tiers.
  • Define and lead consumer validation plans, including qualitative research, concept testing, conjoint, pricing and portfolio optimization.
  • Assess concept appeal, differentiation, superiority, willingness to pay and portfolio incrementality.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen or simplify the portfolio.
  • Represent the consumer marketing perspective within cross-functional innovation programs.
  • Align senior stakeholders and support key milestone and investment decisions.
  • Partner with markets and commercial teams to ensure propositions are executable across channels, price points and geographies.
You're the right fit if you have:
  • 8–12 years of experience in consumer marketing, proposition development, innovation, portfolio strategy or category management.
  • Experience in a global consumer goods, personal health, healthcare technology or durable goods environment.
  • Strong track record of translating consumer insights into innovation and commercial decisions.
  • Experience leading multifunctional teams and influencing senior stakeholders in a matrix organization.
  • Strong understanding of brand positioning, pricing, portfolio architecture and go-to-market strategy.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, business, consumer psychology, economics or a related field.

Experience in oral healthcare, connected products, consumer electronics, regulated health propositions or global platform development would be an advantage.

Compensation & benefits

Doing meaningful work should come with fair, transparent rewards. The base salary range for this role is EUR 78,187.00 - EUR 130,312.00.

We determine pay within the range using objective factors, like the skills the role requires, your relevant experience and the responsibility you'll have in this role, alongside internal equity and local market considerations. 

This role is eligible for 3% short term incentive with your rewards linked to both individual performance and company results. We’ll share the full approach with you during the interview process, so you can make a clear, informed decision. Benefits include hybrid working, paid time-off, health and wellbeing benefits, learning and development opportunities.

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.

This position is based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
