Overview

As a Sr. Consultant, Strategy & Transformation, you'll work with healthcare organizations to address complex strategic, financial, and operational challenges. Partnering with hospitals, health systems, physician organizations, academic medical centers, private equity firms, and other healthcare clients, you'll contribute to engagements focused on strategy development, organizational transformation, transaction advisory, market planning, financial analysis, and other initiatives that support executive decision-making and long-term organizational success.

Working alongside experienced consultants and client leadership teams, you'll leverage financial modeling, market research, operational analysis, and strategic problem-solving to develop thoughtful, data-informed recommendations across a wide variety of healthcare engagements. This role offers meaningful client exposure, opportunities to build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders, and a collaborative environment designed to accelerate your professional growth within healthcare consulting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise healthcare organizations on strategy development, organizational transformation, transaction advisory, physician alignment, and other high-impact business initiatives.
  • Develop sophisticated financial models and analytical frameworks to evaluate acquisitions, new service lines, capital investments, physician partnerships, and other strategic opportunities.
  • Analyze financial, operational, competitive, and market data to identify opportunities, assess risk, and support executive decision-making.
  • Conduct strategic assessments, market analyses, feasibility studies, and transaction-related due diligence.
  • Translate complex quantitative and qualitative analyses into clear, executive-level presentations, reports, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional consulting teams throughout all phases of client engagements, from discovery and analysis through recommendation development and implementation planning.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients through participation in executive meetings, presentations, workshops, and site visits.
  • Support business development through proposal development, industry research, thought leadership, and conference presentations.
  • Manage multiple client engagements while consistently delivering high-quality work within established timelines.
  • Stay informed on emerging healthcare trends, market dynamics, reimbursement models, and industry developments to support client engagements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare consulting, management consulting, transaction advisory, investment banking, corporate strategy, corporate finance, FP&A, or a similar analytical environment.
  • Experience developing financial models and applying quantitative analysis to evaluate strategic business opportunities.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused consulting environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience advising hospitals, health systems, physician groups, ambulatory providers, private equity firms, or other healthcare organizations.
  • Experience supporting strategic planning, healthcare transactions, valuation, or due diligence engagements.
  • Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement, provider operations, physician compensation, or healthcare market dynamics.
  • Experience in a consulting or other client-facing professional services environment.
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or progress toward a relevant professional designation.
