Positions in this sub-family are responsible for providing IT functional/technical/strategic consulting and assisting businesses and other organizations to operate their IT software/hardware systems more efficiently by identifying and measuring problems, and recommending, customizing and implementing solutions. Depending on the organization, consulting projects include conducting organizational studies and evaluations; designing IT systems and procedures, and conducting work and process studies. Activities include developing and managing client relationships and managing project timelines, budgets, fees and outcomes. A Senior Professional (P3) applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities typically include: • Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision. • Coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals. • Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.

THE ROLE

The Senior Consultant, EHR Innovation is a key delivery leader of technical consulting solutions for the Digital Health EHR Innovation team. Successful candidates will possess the following attributes:

We are seeking a candidate with expertise in Epic Ambulatory, Healthy Planet, Compass Rose, MyChart applications and quality related initiatives. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Epic application solutions. As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in advising clients on best practices, driving workflow strategies, and ensuring project success across various healthcare systems.

This position works under the direction of the Director, Digital Health – EHR Innovation to address documented client needs while actively seeking opportunities to refine client deliverables, build knowledge in new domains, and improve Nordic’s business processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Consultant will be responsible for, but not limited to:

§ Acting as an overall solution and technical subject matter expert in a customer-facing role.

§ Collaborating with internal leadership and EHR architects on solution design and delivery.

§ Providing pre-sales solution generation that succinctly describes how a solution meets the client’s communicated needs and engenders client support for the proposed solution.

§ Eliciting customer requirements, visioning solutions, and documenting technical and business requirements pertaining to web applications.

§ Leading solution development processes through continuous and iterative solution planning, scoping, and documentation, team mentorship, development review, and client discussions.

§ Managing timelines, deliverables and project plans.

§ Presenting strategic guidance for enhancement of client products or go to market execution.

§ Continuously improving process and internal support documents and assisting in the improvement of workflows and processes and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

§ Coordinating and forecasting work for self and others working on owned solutions.

§ Participating in continuous learning opportunities.

§ Working to uphold and strengthen Nordic’s corporate culture.

§ Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, data standards, and security protocols, including HIPAA.

§ Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to assigned application areas.

§ Staying current with the latest industry trends, standards, and technologies related to healthcare interoperability.

QUALIFICATIONS

§ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, healthcare, or related field (Master’s preferred).

§ 10+ years of experience with Epic Ambulatory, Healthy Planet, Compass Rose, MyChart and other applications.

§ Experience in Inpatient or Ambulatory quality measures.

§ Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

§ Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

§ Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and manage client relationships effectively.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

§ 10+ years working in the healthcare industry.

§ 10+ years in a technical customer-facing role supporting a software product.

§ Professional experience working with Epic in a technical capacity.

§ Certification in Epic Ambulatory or Healthy Planet and other Epic modules.

§ Experience working in a consulting or advisory rol
