Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do… 

  • Build a team of expert compliance engineers both safety and EMC. 

  • Leads the effort to gain regulatory agency approvals for products by demonstrating product compliance with standards and maintain all certification status of the products. 

  • Schedules in the test and compliance activities of various products according to company’s product roadmap and priorities. 

  • Regularly communicates the compliance status and non-compliance findings to executives, Program Managers, and engineering teams. 

  • Develops and recommends compliance and standards strategies that closely align with the company's strategic product roadmap (products, geographies, and timelines) 

  • Interacts with third party accredited compliance entities to ensure Engineering and Product Verification have accurate interpretation of standards 

  • Has and maintains detailed knowledge of relevant National, UL, International, Grid connection and National Electric Codes standards. 

  • Assists Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Product Verification teams in clarifying technical details of relevant standards and identifies possible bias by standards testing entities. 

  • Recommends improvements to existing compliance testing processes 

  • Using detailed knowledge of standards and industry best practices, guides engineering and testing disciplines towards the goal of standards compliance. 

 

 

Here is some of what you’ll need (required)… 

  • BS/MS in Electronics / Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent. 

  • 5+ years’ experience in Compliance, Certification or testing of photovoltaic systems, Energy Storage products or power supplies. 

  • 5+ years’ Experience in managing engineering teams. 

  • Detailed and working knowledge of relevant standards, National Electric Codes, and ability to work with Local and International Authorities.

  • Strategic view of regulatory certification and impacts on markets and product design
