Logitech is the Sweet Spot for people who want their actions to have a positive global impact while having the flexibility to do it in their own way.

The Team and Role:

We are looking for a hands-on Sr. CMF Engineer who thrives at the intersection of materials science and mass production. You will be the technical anchor for the Video Collaboration team, ensuring that designers’ concepts are realized into high-quality, sustainable, and manufacturable products.

As the primary CMF Engineering owner, you leverage technical expertise to develop material systems and manufacturing processes while driving alignment across JDM/ODM partners and internal teams. In fast-paced NPI cycles, you make data-driven decisions that balance aesthetic intent with production efficiency, identifying opportunities to optimize design and maximize product value.

Your Contribution:

  • NPI Ownership: Act as the DRI for CMF engineering within NPI projects. Drive technical alignment with JDM/ODM partners to ensure all CMF deliverables meet project milestones on schedule.

  • Material & Process Validation: Spearhead the selection and validation of materials and manufacturing processes, ensuring technical feasibility through rigorous trial-run assessments.

  • Technical Specifications & Sign-off: Define CMF Technical Specifications and aesthetic protocols. Establish quantifiable inspection criteria and approve limit samples as the mandatory benchmark for development sign-off.

  • Design Feasibility & Optimization: Evaluate early design concepts to propose engineering-led refinements, optimizing both aesthetic quality and production yield through strategic technical trade-offs.

  • Risk Mitigation & Root Cause Analysis: Diagnose and resolve technical failures or aesthetic defects during development using systemic methodologies (e.g., DFM, DFMEA, FACA) to eliminate risks prior to project completion.

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in Material Engineering, Mechanical Design (MD), Industrial Design (ID), project engineering or related engineering function in high-volume consumer electronic products.

  • Good knowledge of material systems and finishing processes, with a focus on engineering-led design optimization.

  • Experience in color/appearance management, material analysis, and reliability validation to establish quantifiable specifications and robust designs.

  • Experience in using quality tools (e.g., DFM, DFMEA, data analysis) to mitigate technical risks and drive data-driven engineering decisions.

  • Proven ability to navigate fast-paced NPI cycles and drive JDM/ODM partners toward successful trial-run sign-offs.

  • Good command of English and proficiency in Chinese; ability to present complex technical data and strategic rationales to global stakeholders.

  • Experience leveraging AI in professional workflows

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Audio/Video product development working with global JDM/ODM/CM models.

  • Experience working with global suppliers in a fast paced environment. Availability to travel (up to 15%)

  • Understand environmental compliance standards, including RoHS and REACH. Experience evaluating and implementing eco-friendly material systems and sustainable CMF solutions in product development.

Education:

  • Master or Bachelor degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industry Design or a related field.
