Job Description:

In India, we operate as Next Gear India Private Limited, a fully-owned subsidiary of CoreLogic with offices in Kolkata, West Bengal, and Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Next Gear India Private Limited plays a vital role in CoreLogic's Product Development capabilities, focusing on creating and delivering innovative solutions for the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance and Property Restoration industries.

Responsibilities:

• Creating and optimizing cloud infrastructure designs based on business needs, including network topology, storage solutions, and security configurations
• Managing applications and data in cloud platforms, managing deployment processes, and ensuring smooth transition
• Monitoring cloud resource utilization, managing costs, scaling infrastructure up or down based on demand
• Enabling observability best practices to ensure health of infrastructure components and applications
• Implementing robust security measures to protect cloud environments, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management. 
• Writing scripts to automate cloud management tasks, such as provisioning servers, deploying updates, and managing configurations
• Implementing DevOps practices to implement CI/CD pipelines and automate code deployment 
• Identifying and resolving technical issues related to cloud services, providing technical support to users.
• Analyzing cloud usage and identifying opportunities to reduce cloud spending.
• • Working closely with development teams, project managers, and product owners to understand requirements and deliver cloud solutions

Job Qualifications:

• 7-10 years managing and administering cloud components in GCP - includes Anthos,Kubernetes, Virtual Machines, Big Query, services, APIs, and best practices
• 5 years’ experience deploying Postgres, Kafka, and other software in GCP
• 5 years’ experience developing Terraform and Ansible scripts to provision and manage cloud infrastructure in GCP
• 5 years’ Experience implementing observability functions using Elastic, Kibana, Mix Panel or similar
• 5 years’ experience implementing DevOps practices that include implementing CICD pipelines using Jenkins and collaborating with development teams to ensure efficient application deployment and monitoring processes
• 5 years’ experience creating GCP cost reports. Define plan to reduce costs
• 5 years of experience working with geospatial data that include vector and raster data processing
• 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and testing Disaster Recovery methods across cloud regions
• Experience working with technologies that create and render geospatial tile set within an application user interface is a plus
• Awareness of cloud security best practices, including identity management, Single sign on, data encryption, and compliance regulations
• Strong understanding of network concepts like subnetting, routing, firewalls, and load balancing
• Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) methodologies
• Ability to diagnose complex technical issues and develop effective solutions. 
• Strong oral and written skills
• Business/technical requirements analysis skills
• Strong interpersonal / relationship management skills
• Domain-specific industry experience in Meteorology, Real Estate, Insurance, or Mortgage, a plus
