Standard working hours: 8am to 5pm EST, M-F
Location: Remote in South Hampton Roads (Norfolk, VA Beach, Suffolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth), Peninsula (Newport News., Yorktown and Hampton) or Northeast North Carolina (Moyock, Elizabeth City); With travel to 2x a month in 1330 Sentara Park office, plus seasonal client and broker meetings/events
Job responsibilities:
Responsible for Sentara Health Plan (SHP) expansion sales and retention efforts in the Large Group segment (151+ FTEs eligible), using a consultative, strategic sales approach to achieve business objectives on assigned book of business.
Contribute to the relationship management and strategic development of brokers and consultants representing mutual customers.
Support strategic profitable growth objectives.
Communicate with and present to senior level executives, decision makers and key influencers.
Create opportunities to meaningfully connect Sentara Health Plan (SHP)’s Leadership as appropriate.
Manage complex and extended negotiations.
Manage or assist, as assigned, the sale and/or renewal of EAP Customers.
With direct reports (1 Client Specialist and 1 Client Support Specialist)
Education:
Bachelor's degree and 7 years related experience required or HS graduate and 11 years related experience.
Certification/Licensure:
Must obtain a Life and Health Insurance License within 90 days of hire.
Driver's License - Other/National
Experience:
Related years of experience includes Business Acumen, Customer Relation, leadership, Health Insurance Industry, Employee Benefits, Sales Representative or related field.
Group Insurance Large Group (151+ eligible employees) experience preferred
