Pay range: $80,700+ per year

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Negotiate/ Execute contracts for goods and services on behalf of Quest Diagnostics, specifically to support Co-Lab Services. Partner with business to identify value alignment opportunities. Perform ongoing program management of contracts through a formalized, structured process. 

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate all elements of assigned supplier agreements to ensure the lowest total cost of procurement, including product cost, various commercial terms, and performance metrics. 
  • Conduct business alignment opportunity analysis to identify internal opportunities with various lines of business and present the business case.
  • Align closely with Category Managers to develop, assess, and implement strategic sourcing plans for categories assigned.
  • Ability to conduct thorough RFP analysis for effective evaluation of suppliers' competitiveness 
  • Secure compliance with the terms and conditions of supplier agreements. 
  • Identify and execute opportunities for procurement cost reduction and supplier performance improvement. 
  • Execute strategy for compliance actions/corrective actions, work closely with Quality/Governance to ensure implementation.
  • Complete contract due diligence and lead implementation activities. 
  • Track and manage savings targets to ensure savings are captured and recorded correctly.
  • Resolve commercial issues associated with supplier performance issues, and as cost recovery for quality problems and rework, etc. 
  • Lead appropriate teams through the Supplier Selection Process to ensure ongoing/improved value (quality, service, cost) to Quest Diagnostics.
  • Provide detailed analysis and information that may have a financial impact on sourcing decisions. 
  • Independently manage segments in functional areas, such as data gathering, detailed analysis, and report generation. Work and coordinate with various businesses throughout the organization.
  • Effectively leverages all resources (time, information, company position, communication skills) to achieve outstanding results. 
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships and exert influence when needed. 
  • Ability to quickly grasp business direction, customer requirements, and supply chain management strategies. 
  • Proven ability to communicate to the right audience in a timely fashion using an effective communication method, depending on the nature of the information 
  • Proven capability and capacity to manage multiple projects and functional supplier relationships while addressing tactical supplier performance issues. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education Preferred: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Business. MS/MBA degree in disciplines such as Supply Chain or Finance is a plus
  • 5 -8 years’ experience in sourcing/procurement in a similar or related industry, preferably in a global organization

Work Experience: 

  • Proven track record in developing and managing supplier relationships worldwide over multiple product lines, resulting in improved performance and cost. 
  • Working knowledge of purchasing, planning, PeopleSoft, and systems applications such as MS PowerPoint, Access, and Excel. 
  • Strong cost modeling knowledge. 
  • Excellent verbal and written skills. Strong consensus-building, teamwork, and creativity. 
  • Must demonstrate competencies, such as, Negotiation, Financial Acumen, Relationship Management, Problem solving, Adaptability, and Change management.
