Our strategic partnership is designed to combine the strengths and expertise of both companies to advance the promise of an immunotherapy in the treatment of multiple myeloma.

 

Legend Biotech is seeking a Sr. Capability Manager, Data & Analytics as part of the IT team based in Somerset, NJ.

Role Overview

The Sr. Capability Manager, Data & Analytics is the business-facing role for data, reporting, and analytics capabilities for Product group at Legend. This role is responsible for enabling data-driven decision-making by driving actionable insights, ensuring standardized KPIs, and aligning business priorities with the enterprise data and analytics strategy.
As part of the Product & Corporate Systems team, the Sr. Manager partners closely with business functions, the SAP COE, and the Technical Services Data team to ensure analytics initiatives are prioritized, governed, and aligned with Legend’s enterprise standards. The role has specific responsibility for supporting BCMA leadership and coordinating with joint venture IT partners to manage CMO and partner data ingestion into the Data Lake environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main business partner for data and analytics needs, working closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Commercial, Corporate, and BCMA.
  • Partner with the SAP COE and Technical Services Data team to make sure business priorities are understood, translated, and delivered in line with enterprise standards.
  • Coordinate with JV IT teams and CMOs on data ingestion and sharing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and business alignment.
  • Help the business use consistent KPIs and reporting frameworks, reducing duplicate or conflicting reports and driving a “single source of truth.”
  • Represent Data & Analytics Enablement in IT working groups, governance committees, and SteerCo forums, making sure the business perspective is well represented.
  • Keep stakeholders updated on progress, risks, and outcomes across analytics initiatives, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Support GMS leadership by tracking and prioritizing their analytics and reporting needs.
  • Facilitate prioritization of analytics initiatives across functions, balancing urgent needs with long-term enterprise goals.
  • Monitor adoption and value realization of analytics solutions, sharing outcomes with business leaders and steering groups.
  • Provide input into the enterprise data and analytics roadmap, ensuring it reflects evolving business needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Build strong partnerships across IT and the business to foster a culture of data-driven decision making.
  • What to prioritize when multiple business functions request analytics support.
  • Which KPIs and reporting standards should be used to maintain consistency and avoid duplication.
  • How to sequence initiatives to balance urgent needs with long-term enterprise strategy.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree.
  • At least 8 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data strategy, with 3+ years in a role working directly with business leaders.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise reporting systems like SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, Datasphere, Snowflake, and MES able to guide and influence without needing to be hands-on technical.
  • Experience defining and managing KPIs, reporting framework, data governance practices, and compliance in regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with oncology or cell therapy data, whether from manufacturing, commercial, clinical, or medical areas.
  • Comfortable working in joint ventures or with external partners such as CMOs.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards such as GxP, SOX, and data privacy.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory requirements such as GxP, SOX, and data privacy.
  • A clear, confident communicator able to explain data topics to non-technical audiences and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborative, pragmatic, and highly organized — able to manage ambiguity, set priorities, and keep projects moving in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience in oncology-driven biotech or pharma, especially pre-commercial/early commercial stage.
  • Working familiarity with life sciences regulatory frameworks (GxP, privacy, retention, commercial).
  • Strong business partner with the ability to engage leaders across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Commercial, and Corporate, translating needs into clear analytics priorities.
  • Skilled communicator and collaborator, able to simplify complex data topics, align diverse stakeholders, and lead discussions in governance and SteerCo forums.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise data sources (SAP S/4HANA, Snowflake, Workday, MES) and KPI frameworks, with a focus on governance, compliance, and “single source of truth.”
  • Self-starter with a strategic yet pragmatic mindset, comfortable managing ambiguity, influencing without authority, and driving adoption of data-driven decision-making.

The anticipated base pay range is
$163,468$214,551 USD
