We’re actively seeking a talented Sr Business Systems & Reporting Analyst to join our IRSG Growth Execution Team in Newport Beach, CA or Omaha NE.
As a Sr. Business Sytems & Reporting Analyst you’ll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by acting as a strategic partner to business leaders by leveraging data analysis and reporting to support decision-making and improve efficiency. This role is key in enhancing reporting capabilities, ensuring data integrity, and driving cost-saving initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
How you’ll help move us forward:
Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.
Constructs forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.
Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements.
Applies and integrates statistical, mathematical, predictive modeling and business analysis skills to manage and manipulate complex high volume data from a variety of sources.
Analyzes large quantities of data and presents insights and predictions (e.g., on customer behaviors and preferences, new products and services) to support management planning, execution and monitoring of business decisions.
The experience you bring:
BS Statistics, Math, or Science or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience with Data Visualization tool (e.g. Qlik or Tableau)
Experience with distributed data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Impala, Teradata, etc.)
What makes you stand out:
Demonstrated experience with setting up reporting capabilities, working with large data sets in excel, SQL, PowerBI
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Background in consulting is a plus and has experience working with different clients in financial services
Ability to pivot and wear multiple hats based on the situation – be able to master business and data analytics with project management and executive presentation
Strong written and verbal communication to present complex data in a clear, compelling way to stakeholders.

Base Pay Range:
The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
