The Workday Education Learner Experience team manages the infrastructure, systems, and programs that support Education’s global business. Workday Education’s primary purpose is to support the development of a thriving community of Workday competent professionals.

About the Role

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst on the Data Governance and Sales Systems team, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of Workday Education's sales systems (i.e. Salesforce, Apptus, and Credly) and associated functionality (eCommerce, Partner Portal, and Customer Center). You will partner closely with stakeholders across Workday Education, Business Technology, and Product teams to not only analyze current processes and identify opportunities for system and tool enhancements, but also implement new technologies and functionality. You will be a key contributor to our team, working within a dynamic environment to understand and document the business system needs of Workday Education as we scale our business. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to learn and grow within a critical function of our company.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic initiatives by collaborating with business partners and stakeholders to deeply understand business processes, strategic goals, and identify critical gaps.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for large-scale process improvements and new initiatives, leveraging a deep understanding of business operations and industry best practices.

  • Partner with the Systems Operations team to architect comprehensive solutions by translating complex business requirements into clear and concise documentation, including detailed business requirements documents (BRDs), user stories, process flows, and advanced data diagrams. Ensure these solutions are designed to significantly improve efficiency, the overall customer and partner experience, and align with the long-term business strategy.

  • Oversee and champion documentation standards for system configurations, integrations, and troubleshooting procedures. Develop and lead enablement and training programs for both new and existing systems, mentoring junior team members.

  • Drive cross-functional projects as a lead or subject matter expert (SME) on initiatives that impact integrations, data integrity, contract fulfillment, e-commerce, and all customer and partner-facing applications. 

  • Provide strategic oversight and guidance on the troubleshooting and resolution of complex system issues, acting as a liaison between the business and technology teams to ensure rapid and effective resolution.

  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts to validate that system changes not only meet defined business needs but also achieve strategic objectives and deliver tangible business value.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years Business Analyst experience, preferably supporting enterprise-sized organizations.
  •  2+ years experience working with Salesforce.
  • Bachelor degree, or equivalent, and relevant working experience.
  • Ability to analyze complex system flows and data concepts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to learn quickly, follow instructions, and take ownership of assigned tasks.  
  • Advanced understanding of process mapping and documentation.

Other Qualifications

  • Salesforce certification is a plus
  • Experience with tools for documentation and collaboration (e.g., Confluence, Jira).
  • Attention to detail with the ability to analyze and solve complex problems as well as provide documentation, guidance and instruction to users.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and embrace new technologies, applications, and solutions.
