The Role

Insulet started in 2000 with an idea and a mission to enable our customers to enjoy simplicity, freedom and healthier lives through the use of our Omnipod® product platform. In the last two decades we have improved the lives of hundreds of thousands of patients by using innovative technology that is wearable, waterproof, and lifestyle accommodating.

We are looking for highly motivated, performance driven individuals to be a part of our expanding team. We do this by hiring amazing people guided by shared values who exceed customer expectations. Our continued success depends on it!

Insulet is building an exciting greenfield business services organization, with a major hub in Guadalajara.  We are implementing a full range of services across Finance, HR, Procurement, IT, and other service areas.  We are seeking an analytical Senior Business Process Engineer, with a strong background in service operations, computer science and/or consulting.  The role will work as part of our Business Transformation and CX team, supporting initiatives across all functions.  This role will be the business owner for our process quality tools and methods, supporting new service onboarding and the continuous improvement of live services.

The person will work alongside the relevant transformation and operational teams to optimize performance, enhance automation, and enable scalable, efficient operations.  It will require the person to develop a deep (expert) understanding of process modelling (we use ADONIS), KPI dashboarding (we use Power BI), process automation, and service onboarding (we have developed our own methodology for use in Insulet).  You will have plenty of opportunities to experiment with the best ways of working, set standards, and develop skills.  This role will suit someone that is ambitious to develop expertise in how to operate services in a high end multi-functional global business services environment.

Main Responsibilities

Own IGBS KPI dashboards

  • Be the primary source of expertise in IGBS for KPIs and dashboard building.  Teaching the rest of the organization how to develop great KPIs and how to get value from them.
  • Build and maintain all IGBS KPI dashboards in Power BI.  We expect to have a dashboard for each service that we build – currently we have four dashboards.
  • Take a strong interest in the best way to present KPIs, designing and visualizing the data to help users understand trends and insights.
  • Share those dashboards with leadership and service delivery teams, helping them to understand the data and use it to drive operational improvements.
  • Manage user access to dashboards.

Manage data sources

  • Work with functions, business transformation colleagues, and IT to identify and source data.
  • Be accountable for the accuracy and quality of the data and KPIs that you upload and present.
  • Acquire (and chase if required) master datasets regularly (monthly / weekly) and use it to update the dashboards with current data.
  • Create and edit Power Queries within Power BI to clean and transform data for use.
  • Manually clean and transform data as required before copying to Master datasets.
  • Back-up all master datasets.
  • Run manual data acquisition (e.g. surveys) for data that require them – e.g. CSAT feedback.
  • Automate data uploads where possible.
  • Maintain immaculate record keeping on the sources of data, the calculations used to create KPIs, the steps required to maintain master data sets, and the organization of those master data sets.  Present those records transparently for dashboard users and be ‘always ready for inspection’.

Own the IGBS approach to process modeling

  • Develop a strong expertise in process modeling, acting as a teacher and role model for the whole IGBS organization, especially colleagues in Business Transformation and CX.
  • Own and develop the IGBS process modeling standards and toolset (ADONIS).
  • Promote the use of the standards and toolset across IGBS, and other parts of Insulet where required.
  • Train new users (Editors, Reviewers, and Readers).
  • Be the systems administrator for ADONIS, creating accounts, adjusting permissions, monitoring licenses, and requesting changes when required.
  • Be the primary point of interface for BOC, the provider of ADONIS.
  • Perform a standards review for all IGBS process maps, coaching users to improve the quality of their process mapping.

Innovate our process capabilities

  • Develop approaches to process data mining, making the case for those approaches in the IGBS toolset.
  • Develop approaches to process automation, working with IT and Business Transformation colleagues.

Maintain our service onboarding methodology

  • We have developed our own service onboarding methodology.  This is used for each new service that we introduce to IGBS.      We review and update it annually.
  • Own the review and update process, maintaining great methodology records in the process.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical subject, such as Business, Process Management, Data and Analytics, Operations, Computer Science.
  • 6-8 years of experience in a relevant environment.  These include: management consulting, operations consulting, service management, process management, operational delivery.
  • A genuine interest in and understanding of data visualization and process modeling
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, communication and stakeholder engagement abilities

Preferred Skills and Competencies

  • Proficiency in Data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Python, Tableau, Power Point, Project and Excel).  Note, it is unlikely that you can succeed in this role without being able to make efficient code and algorithms to manipulate and analyze data.
  • The ability to transform and clean data efficiently.
  • An awareness of data privacy regulations and user access limitations.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and expectations.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
