Sr Business Process Specialist – Insulet Global Business Services (IGBS)
Position Overview
Insulet is building an exciting greenfield business services organization, with the major hub in Guadalajara. We are implementing a full range of services across Finance, HR, Procurement, IT, and other service areas. We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Business Process Specialist, with a strong background in service operations and/or consulting. The role will work as part of our Business Transformation team, supporting initiatives across all functions, driving the continuous improvement agenda for live services by leveraging data, operational problem information, functional systems, and process excellence methodologies. The person will work alongside the relevant operational teams to optimize performance, enhance automation, and enable scalable, efficient operations; will work with delivery teams, key stakeholders, and functional SMEs, and it requires hands-on experience of business processes, continuous improvement methodologies and other business processes. It will also require the person to use data analysis tools and have a proven ability to support and lead corporate projects in a consulting capacity, blending strategic transformation with hands-on execution, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across Finance, Procurement, HR, and IT functions. This role will suit someone that is ambitious to develop expertise in how to operate services in a high end multi-functional global business services environment.
Main Responsibilities
Process Excellence
· Analyze issues, problems and escalations, identify operational fixes and prevention strategies and drive root cause analyses.
· Document and assess processes, identifying inefficiencies and gaps.
· Design and implement to-be process models aligned with best practices and business goals with strong focus on IGBS operating model and functional transformation (Finance, Procurement, HR, IT, etc.).
Continuous Improvement (CI)
· Support ideation, assessment, and implementation of CI initiatives.
· Collaborate in change request evaluations and solution design.
· Lead prioritization improvement opportunities based on impact and feasibility.
· Track and facilitate the deployment of the CI pipeline and benefits realization.
· Lead process change implementations and participate in CI calls.
Data & Performance Analytics
· Gather and analyze process data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and anomalies.
· Support the design, development and monitoring of KPIs / dashboards to assess process performance.
· Support process mining or automation initiatives with relevant datasets.
Stakeholder Collaboration
· Work closely with service delivery leaders, technology, and functional teams to implement improvements.
· Facilitate interventions, workshops or interviews to gather insights from SMEs and end users.
· Support change management and training as part of CI rollouts.
Service assurance
· Collaborate with delivery teams to maintain up-to-date process documentation, including processes and work instructions and user guides in ServiceNow.
· Collaborate with the training team to build targeted micro learnings that will be useful to help drive efficient adoption of business processes and IGBS services.
· Ensure process compliance and cross-reference with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
· Engage in corporate project activities including unit testing, execution and reporting.
Transition Management
· Manage knowledge transfer activities during transitions, ensuring smooth handover and operational readiness; coordinate structured knowledge transfer sessions between incumbent teams and receiving teams; ensure documentation of critical processes, systems, and exceptions, track and report progress against knowledge transfer milestones.
· Lead knowledge capture efforts; develop and maintain process documentation, and work instructions, facilitate workshops and interviews to extract tacit knowledge from subject matter experts and ensure captured knowledge is validated and accessible for future use.
· Training development; collaborate with training teams to design role-specific training programs; organize and deliver training sessions for new teams or locations; monitor training effectiveness and adjust content as needed.
· Ensure operational readiness; participate in go-live planning and execution, identify and mitigate transition risks and dependencies and support hyper-care and stabilization activities post-transition.
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
· 5-7 years of experience in transformational projects in multi-functional global business services environment.
· Proven experience working in Management consulting, Operations consulting, Operational Delivery of in-scope finance services and business processes.
· Proficiency in Data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Python, Tableau, Power Point, Project and Excel; Adonis or other mapping tools is highly desirable).
Preferred Skills & Competencies
· Familiarity with at least one in-scope process.
· Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and expectations.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
· Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma).
· Familiarity with analysis tools such as Python, Power BI; Adonis and Tableau are a plus.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
· Exposure to RPA, process mining tools (e.g., Celonis), or business process management systems.
· Experience in shared services or GBS environments.
