Position Summary  

 

The F5 Product Business Planning & Operations team drives essential operational support for the entire product organization. On the business planning side, we integrate strategic vision, financial management, and data analysis to optimize resource allocation, prioritize investments, and enable informed decision-making. On the operations side, we ensure seamless alignment with key corporate rhythms and deliver impactful performance reporting. 

 

We are seeking a results-driven Senior Business Planning & Operations Analyst to enhance the strategic and operational performance of our product organization. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in business operations and data-backed decision-making to create actionable insights, improve processes, and drive efficiency. You will partner with leadership to align organizational goals, optimize resource planning, and ensure smooth planning of strategic initiatives.

Your advanced analytical skills, combined with strategic and operational acumen, will play a critical role in enabling the product leadership team to achieve key objectives and deliver measurable outcomes. 

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Drive annual strategic planning by providing data-driven insights, scenario modeling, and performance tracking to ensure alignment between long-term vision and near-term goals.  

  • Collaborate with product management leadership to manage operating rhythms, including quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and other key operational activities.  

  • Partner closely with product operations partners to improve workflows, enhance coordination across teams, and support cross-functional alignment.  

  • Design, build, and maintain reporting tools and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), track operational metrics, and ensure visibility into strategic priorities.  

  • Provide thoughtful analysis and build compelling, executive-ready materials for leadership presentations, strategic reviews, and planning discussions.  

  • Track and analyze progress against organizational goals and initiatives, providing clear updates that promote accountability and sustained focus. 

  • Act as a trusted partner, facilitating communication and collaboration between Product Management and teams across Engineering, Design, Go-to-Market (GTM), Technology Services, and other departments. 

 

Other Responsibilities: 

  • Support continuous improvement of internally developed resource allocation tool. 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Proven experience supporting strategic planning, product operations, and cross-functional collaboration in dynamic, fast-paced organizations.  

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and turn insights into actionable recommendations.  

  • Proficiency in financial modeling and revenue planning; expertise in Excel with familiarity in analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.  

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with proven success in creating and presenting executive-ready materials (e.g., presentations, strategy updates).  

  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and to build strong relationships across functional and organizational levels.  

  • Experience ensuring data accuracy and building organized reporting systems; familiarity with SharePoint or similar tools for collaboration and document management.  

  • Adaptable and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, strategic planning, finance, or business operations with increasing levels of responsibility.  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

The annual base pay for this position is: $112,600.00 - $169,000.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
