The Role

Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly motivated and proactive Product Owner cum Business Analyst with great communication skills to join our Integration Practice team. This role demands strong ownership, good understanding of integration technologies (especially APIs), and the ability to work cross-functionally in an Agile environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving product vision, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring seamless delivery of integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Ownership & Agile Delivery
•    Define and maintain the product vision and roadmap for integration services and APIs.
•    Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical feasibility.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define MVPs and incremental delivery plans.
•    Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and review sessions.
•    Deliver technical requirements and/or user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
•    Drive adoption of AI-assisted practices within the team to improve productivity in story writing, backlog grooming, and requirement documentation, while maintaining traceability and quality standards.
•    Support Scrum Master in planning Sprint scope and in mitigating impediments to ensure successful completion of Release/Sprint Goals.
•    Guide the technical team on user stories to ensure accurate implementation of requirements.
•    Take full ownership of the product lifecycle, from ideation to delivery and support.

Business Analysis & Requirements Management
•    Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
•    Translate business needs into user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
•    Liaise effectively with architects, development, and validation teams to resolve queries and remove blockers.
•    Ensure proper informal and formal testing (SIT) of functional requirements.
•    Support UAT and validate that delivered solutions meet business expectations.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
•    Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong presentation and explanation abilities.
•    Manage customer and stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment across business and technical teams.
•    Conduct product demos for Product, Methodology, Implementation, and Support teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
•    Proven experience as a Product Owner and/or Business Analyst in (preferably) integration-centric environments.
•    Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, product lifecycle management, and backlog prioritization frameworks.
•    Good knowledge of API design principles, integration patterns, and system interoperability.
•    Basic understanding of relational databases and ability to write and interpret SQL queries.
•    Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI.
•    Excellent communication, explanation, and stakeholder management skills.
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Experience with platforms like MuleSoft and/or Azure Integration Services.
•    Exposure to healthcare, finance, or regulated industries.
•    Experience in the clinical research domain, including familiarity with:
•    Clinical trial processes and systems (e.g., EDC, CTMS, etc.)
•    Regulatory standards (e.g., GxP, 21 CFR Part 11)
•    Clinical data standards (e.g., CDISC, FHIR, etc.)
•    Pharmacovigilance and safety data integration
