Summarized Purpose:
As a Sr Business Systems Analyst, you will translate stakeholder business needs into clear technical requirements, data mappings, gap analysis, and delivery documentation while also serving as Scrum Master for Agile teams. This role requires excellent communication, cross-functional collaboration, strong analysis skills, and demonstrated productivity using AI tools to improve requirements, documentation, and delivery efficiency.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent and relevant academic/vocational qualification.
Minimum 5 years of business systems analysis, requirements management, Agile delivery, Scrum facilitation, or equivalent experience.
Major Job Responsibilities:
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and design specifications for complex systems.
Serve as Scrum Master by facilitating sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, retrospectives, demos, and impediment resolution.
Translate stakeholder business requirements into technical specifications, process flows, interface requirements, and detailed data mapping documentation.
Collaborate with developers, QA testers, data teams, validation team members, product owners, and managers to deliver complete and accurate project documentation.
Perform gap analysis across current-state and future-state processes, systems, reports, workflows, integrations, and data flows.
Assist in estimating time, resources, dependencies, and level of effort for requirements, design, testing, and implementation initiatives.
Manage projects of moderate scope and track delivery progress, risks, dependencies, blockers, and action items using Agile tools such as JIRA.
Use AI productivity tools responsibly to accelerate requirements analysis, documentation, meeting summaries, test scenario drafting, and backlog refinement.
Train on new technologies, business processes, data tools, and AI-enabled productivity methods related to job duties.
Handle diverse problems where analysis of business processes and data requires evaluation of identifiable factors and stakeholder impacts.
Represent the department as a prime contact on projects and interact with internal and external personnel on significant business and technical matters.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong understanding of the system development life cycle, Agile delivery, Scrum practices, and requirements methodology.
Proficiency in requirement gathering methodologies including Agile, waterfall, JAD sessions, workshops, interviews, process mapping, and standard documentation practices.
Ability to write user stories, use cases, business requirements, functional specifications, data mapping documents, and design specifications for complex systems.
Advanced MS Office, diagramming, documentation, collaboration, and Agile tool skills including JIRA or similar platforms.
Ability to estimate level of effort, identify dependencies, manage risks, and support sprint planning and release planning.
Strong business skills including documentation, presentation, stakeholder management, interpersonal communication, and executive-ready communication.
Outstanding problem-solving, analytical thinking, gap analysis, and decision-making skills.
Excellent planning, organization, facilitation, meeting management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Advanced level interaction with relational databases, reporting data, SQL concepts, data flows, and system integration points.
Must Have Skills:
Ability to work with end-users and technical teams to build test scenarios and confirm development meets approved requirements.
Assess situations to identify root causes, gather and process relevant information, evaluate options, and make clear recommendations.
Determine the importance, urgency, impacts, and risks of situations, and make clear, timely decisions.
Highly organized and diligent, able to accommodate shifting priorities while maintaining documentation quality and delivery discipline.
Must possess positive attitude, enthusiasm, ownership mindset, and energy.
Demonstrates the tenacity to learn, adapt quickly, and apply AI productivity tools responsibly to improve work output.
Strong work ethic and comfortable working under tight deadlines with cross-functional teams.
Good to Have Skills:
Strong preference for Scrum Master certification, Agile facilitation experience, or demonstrated ownership of Scrum ceremonies.
Experience with 21 CFR part 11, validation documentation, regulated SDLC practices, and preferred standard methodologies for SDLC.
Experience in healthcare, clinical trials research, pharmacovigilance, data/reporting projects, system integrations, or enterprise transformation initiatives preferred.
Working Hours:
India: 05:30 PM to 02:30 AM IST
Philippines: 08:00 PM to 05:00 AM PT
Skills Required
