Pay: $24.00 - $27.00/hour
Join our team as a Sr. Bulk Procurement Coordinator, where you'll play a key role in managing bulk cheese inventory, procurement activities, and warehouse coordination to support efficient plant operations.
What You'll Do- Maintain accurate records of bulk cheese inventory moving into and out of the Spencer facility and external cold storage warehouses.
- Verify load receipts and ensure inventory records accurately match warehouse and system data.
- Enter incoming load information into procurement tracking systems and spreadsheets.
- Generate Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and purchase orders for the USDA Commodity Program.
- Coordinate weekly release activities from Melrose and track/report load information to state agencies and K-12 contacts.
- Partner with warehouse teams, suppliers, logistics, accounting, government agencies, and receiving personnel to resolve discrepancies related to inventory, weights, quantities, invoices, and quality concerns.
- Provide administrative support for Receiving, Procurement, and site leadership teams.
- Support process improvement initiatives and additional projects as assigned.
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Word.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in inventory, procurement, warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or food production.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of JD Edwards (JDE) and DSI warehouse inventory systems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Process improvement mindset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and deliver high-quality work.
