The Lead Benefits Analyst will oversee the day-to-day operations of the benefits department, serving as a subject matter expert in leave and time off programs across U.S. and international locations. This role requires deep expertise in leave administration, including compliance, process optimization, and employee support, while also maintaining broad knowledge across all core benefit programs. The ideal candidate will bring strategic insight and hands-on experience to ensure seamless coordination between employees, managers, and HR partners, fostering a positive and efficient leave experience. In addition to leave management, this role will contribute to the overall direction, development, and continuous improvement of the company’s benefits offerings.
Responsibilities
Responsible for, but not limited to:
- Design, implement, and manage global leave and time off programs including, workers compensation, and workplace accommodations for Nordic’s North America, Europe, and Asia locations. 
- Lead paid leave program strategy and vendor management ensuring alignment with company policy and compliance with federal, state, and international regulations. 
- Develop and oversee corporate return-to-work programs, partnering with departments to reduce lost time incidents. 
- Serve as the central point of coordination with third-party leave administrators, internal stakeholders, and payroll to ensure accurate leave processing and seamless employee experiences. 
- Manage the direct billing process for employees on leave and the consulting population, ensuring continuity of coverage and financial accuracy. 
- Oversee vendor relationships across the voluntary benefit programs. 
- Maintain and continuously improve administrative procedures for all assigned benefit programs to support operational excellence and audit readiness. 
- Lead benefits-related policy development and updates, ensuring programs remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals. 
- Conduct benefits program benchmarking, cost analysis, and coverage evaluations to inform strategic decisions and optimize plan design. 
- Support employee communications by maintaining the external benefits website and contributing to updates for the employee handbook and policies. 
- Collaborate on enterprise-wide initiatives including open enrollment, vendor transitions, system implementations, and M&A integration activities. 
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience required; Master’s degree with 3 years of experience or 8 years of related experience and no degree. 
- Experience managing leaves through a third-party administrator. 
- Proven ability to connect with a wide range of audiences and build quick rapport 
- Proven discretion, sound judgement, and strong ability to maintain confidentiality 
- Adaptable and able to embrace the gray with a positive attitude 
- Prior experience with Workday 
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word 
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
