🚀 The OpportunityWe’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join as one of the early technical hires and play a key role in developing our core advisory engine — the heart of the product. You’ll work hand-in-hand with the Founders to architect, build, and scale systems that are secure, modular, and ready for growth.

🧩 What You’ll DoDesign and develop scalable, maintainable backend systems to power our AI-human hybrid advisory engine
Write clean, well-documented, and testable code following SOLID principles and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) best practices
Collaborate in system architecture, service design, and API development
Implement robust security, data integrity, and performance strategies in a financial environment
Contribute to setting engineering standards and help build a culture of technical excellence
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and team decision-making
5+ years of experience in backend development with a strong track record of designing and implementing scalable, maintainable systems
Deep understanding of software architecture, system design, and best practices for building reliable, scalable services
Proficient in modern backend languages and frameworks—Node.js experience is a big plus
Ability to write clean, testable code following SOLID principles and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) practices
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and product-driven startup environment
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Experience in FinTech or regulated environments (e.g. banking, insurance, wealth management, etc)
Familiarity with AI/ML integrations or recommender systems
Knowledge of security and compliance standards in financial services
Experience working in early-stage startups or as a founding engineer
