Senior Automation Engineer

The Senior Automation Engineer is a high-impact developer responsible for the end-to-end implementation and modernization of automation systems that drive enterprise efficiency and interconnectivity between Applications. This role acts as an active developer who takes complex business requirements and transforms them into scalable, production-ready solutions. Beyond technical execution, you will be responsible for identifying manual, time-consuming business processes and re-engineering them into streamlined automation solutions that significantly reduce operational friction.
This role will report to the Data and BI Architect.

Role Specifics:
· End-to-End Development: Designs, builds, and maintains workplace automation solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform, Atlassian, and custom .NET applications that increase efficiency and eliminate processes.
· Solution Design: Partners with business units analyze processes, identifies modernization opportunities, and translates functional requirements into technical specifications and user stories.
· System Integrity: Ensures the stability, performance and reliability of applications throughout the development lifecycle, delivering high-availability solutions to production.
· Knowledge Leadership: Develops and maintains comprehensive technical documentation and standards for all solutions, setting the standard for the automation team.
· Stakeholder Engagement: Delivers technical demonstrations and training sessions to stakeholders to ensure adoption and maximize the value of automation investments.
· Security & Compliance: Designs and Implements secure automations in alignment with organizational policies, ensuring data privacy, and compliance standards are met.
· Agile & Adaptive: Operates within a team-based Agile/Sprint development environment, contributing to the planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality workflows and solutions.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field is preferred; Master’s degree is a plus.
- 5-7 years’ experience in automation engineering or similar roles.
- 5-7 years’ experience in Microsoft Power Platform, Logic Apps, or similar technologies.
- Proficiency with SQL, REST API, and at least one programming language (C#, Python, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to design robust error-handling, logging, and alerting frameworks to support high available solutions.
- Working knowledge of enterprise security standards & authentication, including OAuth, credential management, and data privacy compliance.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Platform Expertise: Advance proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) and Atlassian products.
· Development Frameworks: Strong hands-on knowledge of .NET and the Visual Studio for building custom connectors and applications.
· Azure Infrastructure: Deep knowledge of Azure services including Logic Apps, Azure SQL, Service Bus, and Application Insights.
· Data Architecture: Advanced experience with Dataverse, including complex table modeling, relationship management, and security roles.
· API Mastery: Expert ability to work with REST APIs and GraphQL, including handling complex authentication (OAuth/Tokens), pagination, and testing via Postman.
· Version Control: Proficiency with Git and collaborative repository management strategies.
· Agile Delivery: Extensive experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Data Stack Proficiency: Advance knowledge of SQL (T-SQL), understanding of data warehousing concepts, data lakes, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
· Low Code App Building: Strong experience building Power Apps (Model-driven and Canvas).
· Microsoft Ecosystem Integration: Experience integrating Power Platform with Microsoft Fabric, Dynamics, and related Microsoft technologies.
· Certifications: Strong preference for candidates with relevant Microsoft certifications: PL-600 (Architect), PL-400 (Developer), or DP-600/700 (Fabric/Data Engineer).
Working Conditions:
· This is a fast-paced and dynamic operating environment.
· Majority of time is spent sitting, constantly viewing monitors in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move around. There may be occasions to move or lift light articles.
· Must be able to work flexible hours to support critical system changes and emergency events.
· This role is remote.
· Must be able to travel up to 10%.
This is a remote position, preferably based in Atlanta with flexibility to report to the Headquarters in Dunwoody, GA as needed
Salary Range: $102,000 - $127,500
