About the Internal Audit Team and the Role

In the team, you will participate in Nubank's third line of defense and will have the mission of evaluating our main processes, services, and products through our data and risk assessment environment, ensuring that they are adapted to regulations and the company's risk appetite.

This position is for the Enterprise Functions Pack of Nubank's Internal Audit functions. This pack is responsible for all the geographies' finance, governance, and regulatory audits.

As a auditor, you will be able to increase your abilities to audit financial statements and learn about hot topics in the financial market (fraud, anti-money laundering, open banking, ESG). You will be part of a team that redefines how internal audit is performed through the participation of strategic projects (i.e., annual planning automation, methodology review, risk mapping, AI usage, etc).

 You'll be responsible for

• Execute audit fieldworks: support the planning of audit projects, provide technical support to staff auditors, conduct and document audit tests, and support the audit reports and findings writing.
• Perform follow-up on findings and action plans' implementation.
• Embrace technology through the development and monitoring of continuous auditing tests (See our blog post: Reinventing Internal Audit by embracing technology).
• Able to perform audits on financial statements and willing to learn about the regulatory aspects of payments and financial institutions.
• Act as an audit champion, you will be in touch with stakeholders in the first or second lines and capture new risks not mapped by IA.
• Support the internal audit annual planning.

 We are looking for a person who has

• 3 to 4 years of experience in internal audit or external audit, as well as experience in auditing financial statements;
• The ability to connect different tests' conclusions and write assertive audit reports and findings;
• Knowledge of CPCs and COSIF;
• Comfortable making decisions based on data (ACL, SQL, Alteryx, or experience with similar tools);
• Advanced English language skills;
• Willingness to learn and adapt to a high-paced environment;
• The ability to build strong relationships;
• Autonomy to work from home most of the time (Office visits occur every 2 months).

 Our Nu Way of Working 

Our work model is hybrid and has cycles that can be from two to three months according to the business of ​​expertise. For every eight or twelve weeks of remote work, one will be at the office.
