About the Sr. Associate, Program Management

Material is looking for a Sr. Associate, Program Management to join our team. This person will be responsible for project managing User Experience Research and managing day-to-day client communication for a large tech client. This position requires an extremely detail-oriented multitasker with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee day-to-day execution of global UX research projects.

  • Serve as a trusted go-to resource for cross-functional teams and client stakeholders, providing answers and ensuring clear communication.

  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Maintain ongoing communication with cross-disciplinary teams to uphold Material processes, ensure deadlines and requirements are met, and track project progress.

  • Prepare and communicate detailed project plans, including milestones, workstreams, and activities, and manage delivery accordingly.

  • Provide regular status updates to project teams and client stakeholders, tracking project progress in internal management tools to ensure profitability and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with the Program Director on program-level updates for senior client stakeholders, adapting to project changes and shifting priorities as needed.

  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment, encouraging open communication and ensuring all team members feel heard.

  • Display resilience and problem-solving skills under pressure, keeping projects on track and supporting team morale.

  • Adapt to changing project needs and remain flexible in the face of shifting priorities or unforeseen challenges.

Communication expectations:

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail

  • Understand nuances of client communication

  • Knows when and how to escalate operational, resource, budget, timeline, or client relationship issues in detail

Experience:

  • 2-4 years' experience required.

  • Experience with client communication and management is required

  • Experience at a digital or UX Research agency is preferred

  • Experience working at or with a tech company and/or media products is preferred

Pay Range: $54,600.00 - 70,300.00 

The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Material. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself.
