Why This Role Is Valuable
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Sr. Data Analyst to join our Insurance and Alternative Solutions (I&AS) team at Revantage North America. In this role, you will assist in developing and implementing data management frameworks, ensuring our data assets are accurate, secure, and compliant with industry standards. You will work closely with internal Insurance team leads, global data governance office, and other cross-functional teams to support data initiatives, help establish data management best practices and contribute to the adherence and creation of data policies procedures and strategy. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with strong analytical skills, a keen interest in data analysis, data management, and a desire to grow their expertise in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. They will also be required to be an evangelist for Data Management and Insurance across the enterprise and work with internal and external consumers and stakeholders.
This role will be expected to forge substantive relationships throughout Revantage, Blackstone, and other portfolio companies, as well as with various external stakeholder groups including Carriers, Brokers, and Vendors. It will be essential for the person in this role to possess excellent business judgment and an ability to identify and communicate risk in a clear and concise manner, as well as an aptitude for proposing creative solutions. A successful candidate will be responsive to meeting quick deadlines and juggling multiple priorities.
This position is based out of Revantage's office in Dallas, TX.
How You Add Value
As the Insurance Sr. Data Analyst, you will serve as the primary data analyst and be accountable for data initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze large and complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis to support business decisions.
- Data Management :
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy by performing regular data audits and validations.
- Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to improve data quality and accessibility.
- Develop and implement data management best practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Work closely with underwriting, claims, and actuarial teams to understand data needs and provide analytical support.
- Partner with business stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver insights that drive business outcomes.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Strategic Initiatives :
- Support the development and execution of data-driven strategies to improve business performance.
- Lead and participate in projects aimed at enhancing data capabilities and analytics infrastructure.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and insurance.
- Relationship Building and Expertise:
- Build and maintain strong relationships across the enterprise. Serve as a key subject matter expert and escalation point, effectively communicating the importance and role of Data Governance to both business and technical communities. Offer learning opportunities to the Center of Excellence (COE) support staff.
- This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and strong interpersonal skills to drive data governance excellence across the organization.
What You Bring to This Role
- Bachelor's degree in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the insurance industry.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with data management and governance practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of insurance industry regulations and standards.
- Experience with machine learning and predictive modeling.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, Snowflake).
