Role Overview:
Flatworld Solutions is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Architect (B.Arch./M.
Arch) to join our Engineering Services division. The ideal candidate will have
8–12 years of proven experience leading teams of architects and drafters on
North American and UK residential, commercial, and hospital projects. The role
demands hands-on expertise across all project phases, a strong grasp of US
architectural standards, and the ability to drive project success for global
clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead
and manage multi-disciplinary teams of architects and drafters on
large-scale residential, commercial, and hospital projects for the US, UK,
and international markets.
- Oversee
all project phases, including concept design, schematic design, design
development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
- Supervise
the preparation and review of millwork shop drawings and interior fit-out
packages, ensuring technical precision and alignment with client and
project requirements.
- Ensure
compliance with US and UK architectural standards, local codes, and client
specifications.
- Coordinate
with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure project
goals, timelines, and budgets are met.
- Review
and validate drawings, models, and deliverables for accuracy, quality, and
technical integrity.
- Mentor
and train junior architects and drafters, fostering a culture of technical
excellence and continuous improvement.
- Support
business development by contributing to proposals, client presentations,
and technical solutions.
- Stay
abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices
relevant to architectural design and delivery.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s
or master’s degree in architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited
institution.
- 8–12
years of post-qualification experience, with at least 5 years in a
leadership or team management role.
- Demonstrated
experience delivering North American and UK residential, commercial, and
hospital projects.
- Comprehensive
understanding of the full architectural project life cycle and various
delivery models.
- Hands-on
experience in developing and coordinating millwork shop drawings and
interior fit-out detailing for diverse project types.
- Good
knowledge of US/UK architectural standards, codes, and regulations.
- Proficiency
in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, and
BIM platforms.
- Strong
communication, client management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Ability
to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a deadline-driven
environment.
Preferred:
- Experience
working with global clients and remote project delivery teams.
- LEED,
NCARB, RIBA, or other relevant certifications.
- Exposure
to emerging technologies such as parametric design, computational tools,
or sustainability modeling.
