Cargill is seeking a Senior SAP Application Development Lead to drive strategic, operations-focused initiatives across Production Planning (PP), Quality Management (QM), Materials Management (MM), Logistics Execution (LE), and Supply Chain Management (SCM). This is a techno-functional leadership role with a strong focus on SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing solutions, plant integration, material master data governance, and Transportation Management (TMS).
As a thought leader in the Plan & Make space, you'll collaborate closely with business stakeholders to design, configure, and implement innovative solutions that optimize our specialized portfolio. You'll lead end-to-end SAP and low-code/no-code based application lifecycle activities-from global design and deployment to continuous improvement-ensuring seamless integration and operational excellence.
What you'll do:
• Lead strategic application development initiatives in SAP or on low-code/no-code platforms across the manufacturing and supply chain domains.
• Design and implement solutions for PP, QM, MM, LE, SCM, and TMS.
• Partner with business leaders to align technology with operational goals.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in the 'Make' space.
• Ensure high-quality software delivery through testing, configuration, and support.
What you bring:
• Proven experience in SAP application development, with deep expertise in manufacturing and supply chain modules.
• Experience with application development on low-code/no-code platforms.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes in production, logistics, and planning.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
• Passion for driving digital transformation and operational efficiency.
Key Accountabilities
- SAP REQUIREMENTS SOLUTIONING: Capture and analysis of business requirements. Research and provide solution alternatives and implement the preferred recommendations.
- SAP APPLICATION CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT: Builds complex application configurations to meet user and business requirements while identifying improvements to complex application support processes and procedures.
- SAP APPLICATION DEPLOYMENT: Performs advanced design, testing and deployment of new development, updates, or fixes of application version releases.
- USER COMMUNICATION & SUPPORT: Plays a key role and keeps an open channel of communication with users to respond to complex application support requests and needs.
- APPLICATION SUPPORT: Conducts complex technical application support activities to deliver on business outcomes.
- STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: Partners with multi-functional teams, including developers, product managers, other workstream leads, project leadership, and business partners to ensure solutions align with standards and project goals.
- WORKSTREAM LEADERSHIP: Represent Operations workstream to project leadership; Plan workstream staffing and budget; Coach, develop, and mentor individual team members.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.
Preferred Experience:
- Job is open to candidates in Atlanta, GA and Minneapolis, MN.
- Professional experience with functional and technical configuration in SAP - Experience with SAP-IBP, MM and PP
- Proven experience in SAP within the Plan and Make space and integrations from an end-to-end process point of view
- Confirmed stakeholder management, presenting to and influencing executive leaders.
- Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay Transparency
The expected salary for this position is $95,000.00-145,000.00.
Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance. At Cargill we put people first. Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 48 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law.
