About your role:

As a Software Development Engineering - Advisor I, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs.

Overview

The eMAXS Senior Application Architect (m/f/d) is responsible for the DIAS application and for DB2 Stored Procedures, which is the access layer to the DB2 database in acquiring. He also supports release management. DIAS (= Data Interface ASsistant) is used as a data mapping and conversion tool on the eMAXS acquiring platform.

Your tasks

• Responsible for the maintenance of the DIAS application, which was written in C programming language.
• Responsible for the maintenance and new development of access modules (DB2 stored procedures) on the mainframe.
• Responsible for the maintenance and further development of Java tools used within the department
• Support for change management in the acquiring backend under Endevor on the mainframe
• Check and execution of software packages delivered by offshore developers
• Tracking bugs and defects in Jira
• Close collaboration with other teams' IT architects
• Preparation and coordination of the software rollout on 6 weekends a year

What you should bring with you

• Successful studies in computer science, business informatics, mathematics or comparable training
• At least 5 years of experience in software development
• Experience in the programming languages C and Java.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL, especially on DB2
• Knowledge in the change management of software components.
• Experience with Jira
• Fluent in written and spoken English and German (EFR B2/C1)

What we would like to see

• Knowledge of the change management tool Endevor on the mainframe
• Experience in using tools on the mainframe (IBM z/OS)
