The Alteryx Senior Analytic Consultant position is a highly technical role providing post-sales remote support and solution development with Alteryx products and related technologies, specializing in advanced analytic products, including but not limited to Alteryx Auto Insights, Alteryx Machine Learning, and Alteryx Desktop Predictive Tools and Intelligence Suite. As a Senior Analytic Consultant, you will develop a reputation as both an advanced Analytics practitioner and a trusted advisor to your assigned customer. You will be on the front line assisting your assigned customer through the analytic cycle: identifying business questions, clearly formulating the problem, sourcing and preparing data, running analyses and interpreting results, refining and reiterating, and implementation. Some customers will expect an exclusive style of treatment for these types of projects, and others would rather have a coach or mentor help them learn how to do it. You will be expected to handle all these types of situations. Our customers know that you are a subject matter expert, and you know how to get things done. Additionally, you will lead the charge in developing analytic solutions which can be distributed broadly across the Alteryx customer base. Problems may draw from internal or customer-driven inspiration, but solutions should be generalizable to many.
Primary Responsibilities:

Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to your customer while working with your Account Manager and related customer-assigned team members

Guide customers in developing a strategy around growing analytic maturity within their organization using Alteryx’s advanced analytics and machine learning offerings
-
Lead conversations around established analytics and data science methodologies as well as emerging tools and technologies that every customer needs to be aware of
-
Deliver customized and/or strategic services leveraging Alteryx advanced analytic solutions as they apply to customer needs.

Participate in product and solution training to acquire and maintain a detailed level of product knowledge.

Partner with the product teams and other stakeholders across Alteryx to create a customer feedback and product improvement loop.

Partner with customer enablement to review and deliver product and analytics training and best practices
-
Collaborate with customers to develop advanced analytic solutioning to their key business questions.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify frequently asked analytic questions and potential generalizable analytic solutions.

Develop broadly applicable solutions to selected frequently asked analytic questions.
-
Identify a team of partners across the organization to scale analytic solutions for broad distribution.

Work proactively with Technical and Analytics Consultants and other technical experts to strategize on opportunities for cross-training and knowledge transfer within your customer

Travel requirements up to 30%.
Qualifications:
-
5+ years of experience including technical support or consulting.
-
Knowledge of machine learning techniques and environments, including industry leaders such as Python, R, and Spark, as well as newer technologies, including H2O, Azure Machine Learning and Dataiku, DataRobot, chatGPT, etc.

Proficient in ML Ops, data & analytic technologies, and data engineering.
-
Ability to have deep conversations with customers and internal advanced analytics product teams to create a product feedback loop for bugs, feature requests, documentation, etc.

Superior problem solving, organizational, decision-making written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
-
Exceptional ability to listen, assess and document information from client.
-
Knowledge of statistical analysis, data structures, types of models, model training, scoring, and interpretation.

Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and continuously re-prioritize while fixing critical issues as they are raised. But you won’t wait for them to be raised, you’ll seek them out.
Required Skills/Experience:

Strong experience with Alteryx Designer workflow construction and optimization, and Alteryx Advanced Analytics products: Alteryx Auto Insights, Alteryx Machine Learning, Alteryx Intelligence Suite, Alteryx Designer Predictive Tools

Familiarity with traditional RDBMS databases and/or NoSQL databases
Nice To Have Qualifications:

Extensive knowledge of machine learning techniques and environments, including industry leaders such as Python, R, and Spark, as well as newer technologies, including H2O, Azure Machine Learning and Dataiku, DataRobot, chatGPT, etc.

Experience with C++, Python, or other procedural languages, specifically with advanced analytic and/or machine learning toolkits such as scikit-learn, tensorflow, VADER, spaCy, etc.
Compensation
Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
The salary range for this role in California, Colorado, Washington, Texas, and Rhode Island is $101,000 - 132,000.
In addition, you may be eligible for other compensation, such as a bonus. Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, including medical, retirement, financial, wellness, time off, employee discounts, and others.
