As a Sr. Analyst, Technology Sourcing, you will partner with Technology, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement, Legal, Finance, and other stakeholders to support software sourcing decisions and negotiate agreements that balance business value, speed, risk, and long-term partnership. Job Overview:

The Sr. Analyst, Technology Sourcing is an individual contributor within the Strategic Sourcing and Procurement team supporting the Technology Division. This role manages and supports commercial and contractual negotiations for software and related technology solutions. The Sr. Analyst will help stakeholders evaluate supplier proposals, structure competitive commercial terms, coordinate contracting activities, and support supplier relationships throughout the sourcing lifecycle. 


Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead or support sourcing activities for software, SaaS, licensing, maintenance, renewals, and related technology services, from business intake through negotiation and contract execution. 
  • Develop negotiation strategies using stakeholder requirements, supplier proposals, pricing benchmarks, total cost considerations, and relevant commercial risk factors. 
  • Negotiate pricing, licensing models, renewal terms, service commitments, and other commercial provisions in partnership with Legal and internal stakeholders. 
  • Partner with Technology, Finance, Risk, Legal, and business teams to align sourcing decisions with LPL priorities, governance expectations, timelines, and budgets. 
  • Manage supplier communications, competitive events, proposal analysis, contract workflows, and supporting documentation with accuracy and appropriate follow-through. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve value, reduce cost, simplify agreements, consolidate suppliers, and strengthen commercial terms across the software portfolio. 
  • Maintain sourcing records and provide clear status updates, recommendations, and decision support to stakeholders and sourcing leadership.

Requirements:

  • Professional experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or contract management, including direct support of technology or software agreements. 
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing supplier proposals and negotiating commercial terms for software, SaaS, licensing, maintenance, or related technology services. 
  • Working knowledge of the sourcing and contracting lifecycle, including requirements gathering, competitive evaluation, negotiation, approvals, and contract execution. 
  • Ability to communicate complex commercial information clearly and collaborate effectively with Technology, Legal, Finance, Risk, and supplier stakeholders. 
  • Analytical, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple negotiations and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferences:

  • Experience with strategic sourcing tools, contract lifecycle management platforms, e-sourcing systems, or procurement analytics. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, finance, technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Pay Range:

$73,748.00 - $122,879.00
 
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
