Your Impact
The primary purpose of this role is to guide and drive execution of assigned technology business management (TBM) processes, which includes taking steps to reduce risk and inefficiencies while increasing the quality of process support provided. This role maintains positive relationships with technology stakeholders and vendors, and partners closely with others to define and maintain service level agreements, objectives and key results, and other performance metrics. This role requires a strong understanding of most process areas supported by the team, including many of the key upstream and downstream process integration points. The Sr Analyst, Technology Business Management works mostly independently and occasionally provides guidance and direction to junior level analysts on the team.
What you will do
- Develops standard operating procedures; identifies and suggests possible improvements on procedures for best practices
- Develops Effective Licensing Positions (ELP) accurately in the Software Asset Management tool, and generates software reconciliation reports (Purchased vs. Deployed counts)
- Ensures data integrity
- Evaluates the installation of discovery agents & tools on assets within the Lowe's environment and provides recommendations to address any gaps
- Develops relationships with cross-functional teams including infrastructure, engineering, sourcing, finance and legal to ensure processes remain compliant with company regulations
- Partners with Enterprise Strategic Sourcing as needed (Plan, Execute and Support) to ensure requirements and quality standards are met for sourcing efforts in assigned areas
- Partners with key internal resources to ensure an effective negotiating strategy is set and aligned to business requirements to obtain the best overall value based on usage
- Develops and presents vendor management assets that are clear and effectively communicate engagement objectives and expectations to vendors and cross-functional stakeholders
- Interprets and analyzes usage reports from Vendors and Stakeholders
- Supports the overall software asset process for assigned area, as applicable to ensure compliance with terms and conditions of the current agreement
- Provides regular updates and status reports
- Creates ad-hoc Asset Management reports when required
- Ensures the New Technology Onboarding review process is done consistently
- Participates in Software and Hardware Recycling Campaigns and redundancy elimination efforts
- Provides mentoring and guidance to more junior level analysts; may provide feedback and direction on specific tasks
- Works with compliance to define and maintain data definitions
- Ensures all policies and procedures are being followed in accordance with corporate standards
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer information systems, business administration, finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)
- 4 years of experience in technology, finance/accounting, procurement, business, operations, or related area.
- 2 years of experience analyzing data to detect trends, make recommendations, and provide reporting
- 2 years of experience working in a large matrixed organization with collaboration across various levels within the organization including with international teams
- 2 years of experience in process management, business process improvement, business process management, value stream mapping, and/or industry applying LEAN practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 year of experience with IT delivery, development, and operational processes - understanding engineering, software development lifecycle, database, architecture, configuration management database, and how each of these systems support each other to run a technology organization
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt trained or certified, Green belt, or accredited certification equivalent
- Proficient in Flexera.
