Job Purpose/Summary:
The Senior Analyst in the Prepared Foods Pricing and Costing team supports business units by providing thorough analysis of product costs and pricing strategies. The ideal candidate will understand cost drivers and their impact on margins, influencing pricing decisions and ensuring accuracy. The role involves business process analysis, collaboration across teams, and strong communication and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze category-related activities, including qualitative and quantitative margin challenges.
- Support RFPs and conduct SKU rationalization and low margin analysis.
- Develop category and customer-specific strategic pricing.
- Identify cost savings initiatives and gather competitive intelligence.
- Perform gross margin hurdle rate analysis.
- Recommend product assortment optimizations and discontinuation of inefficient items.
- Monitor industry trends, market share, product FMV, and competitive activity.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (Trade, Customer Pricing, R&D, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing).
Requirements:
Education/Certifications: Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting or business related field, preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
Experience: 2-4 year’s experience in accounting, finance, economics, or other business-related fields.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; good presentation skills
Other skills:- Strong Excel and data modeling skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and BI software.
- Strong skills in process creation and improvement.
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
