ABOUT THE ROLE


We are looking for a Process Development Engineer to join our RD&E team based at Pilar Plant. This role will contribute to the development, validation and implementation of new products and changes to existing products across different categories, working from laboratory development through process trials and implementation in the manufacturing environment.


This position combines hands-on technical work, project execution and cross-functional collaboration, with interaction across local, regional and global technical teams.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support and execute new product development and product change projects, particularly those involving formulations and manufacturing processes across different categories.
  • Plan and conduct laboratory trials and technical evaluations.
  • Perform process trials at laboratory and manufacturing scale.
  • Prepare prototypes and samples for testing, technical evaluations and product/process optimization.
  • Support the optimization of formulations and manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in the validation of testing methods.
  • Provide technical support during scale-up and implementation of products in manufacturing.
  • Generate and maintain project-related technical documentation, including specifications, technical reports and documentation supporting product registration.
  • Participate in the company New Product Development process as a technical representative.
  • Interact and collaborate with Global Technical Platforms and cross-functional partners.
  • Work with suppliers and external partners when required, including technical visits in Argentina and other LATAM countries.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines: Chemical Engineering; Chemistry; Food Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in product development, process development or related technical roles.
  • Previous development experience in consumer goods/chemical, food or pharmaceutical companies.
  • English: Intermediate/Advanced
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Teams.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Portuguese: Basic level – desirable.
  • Familiarity with AI tools.
  • Methodical, analytical and detail-oriented approach.
  • Comfortable working both in laboratory environments and in manufacturing/plant settings.
  • Dynamic, proactive and able to work independently with a high degree of self-management.
  • Strong organization and ability to manage multiple activities and priorities.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork capabilities.

  • Based at Pilar Plant, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
  • Full-Time
  • Remote work is available once a week for eligible employees
  • Availability to visit suppliers and third parties in Argentina and other LATAM countries.
  • Availability for international travel.
