Position Purpose:

The Sr. Analyst, Pro Pricing & Sales Insights, will serve as a key resource supporting Outside Sales growth initiatives. As part of the Pricing & Sales Insights team, the Sr. Analyst will be responsible for partnering with the Outside Sales Team to support profitable customer acquisition, make balanced pricing decisions, and enable proactive selling actions. An ability to build strong relationships with Outside Sales Representatives and Account Managers is key to the role. Analytical ability, financial acumen, merchandising and pricing expertise are required to distinguish multiple components of a problem and to develop sound business decisions. The Sr. Analyst will balance quantitative skills with the ability to communicate effectively to field sales teams and store support center partners to meet business priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 30% Business Acumen - Subject matter expert for assigned initiative; Learn and report on best practices, industry standards, and requirements associated with assigned projects; Through independent judgement, develop solutions and recommend project or strategy planning and data utilization

  • 20% Data Analysis - Identify, research and measure ongoing effectiveness of programs against metric targets; Develop and execute ongoing enhancement/optimization strategy based on measured performance and customer feedback; Trouble shoot and problem solve for ongoing operational needs as they arise

  • 20% Effective Communication - Ability to create clear and accurate documents and presentations and ability to present and deliver to a wide variety of stakeholders

  • 30% Project Management - Responsible for owning small to medium initiative-specific projects and reporting, prioritizing projects and tasks to ensure deliverables and goals are met or exceeded

Travel Requirements:

  • Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.

  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

  • Data analysis, development of SQL scripts, and report generation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with sales teams and cross-functional partners

  • Ability to convey technical ideas in easy-to-understand terms to business partners

  • Ability to draw accurate conclusions from financial reporting

  • Ability to manage change, resolve conflict, and negotiate with internal customers

  • Pricing, finance, merchandising and/or consultative selling experience

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Working knowledge of Tableau and Google BigQuery
