The Senior, Pricing Analyst supports pricing strategy and execution through data analysis, reporting, pricing tools, and cross-functional collaboration. This individual contributor role is responsible for analyzing pricing data, market trends, and commercial performance to identify opportunities, support pricing decisions, and improve pricing processes.Location: Pittsburgh, PA Office
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days/week in office)
- Support the development and execution of pricing strategies aligned with company goals and business objectives.
- Analyze customer, product, channel, and market data to identify pricing opportunities and risks.
- Evaluate the potential impact of pricing changes on sales, margin, and profitability, and provide recommendations.
- Monitor market conditions and competitive dynamics to help inform pricing decisions.
- Support pricing initiatives such as annual price adjustments, surcharge programs, margin improvement efforts, and price harmonization projects.
- Partner with commercial teams to support value-based pricing approaches and pricing policy execution.
- Use data and analytics to conduct pricing analysis and identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Develop recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and analyses to support pricing decisions.
- Maintain visibility into pricing performance and provide actionable insights to the business.
- Support decision-making by summarizing findings clearly for business stakeholders.
- Support the development, maintenance, and improvement of pricing tools, including pricing models, Power BI dashboards, and databases.
- Help ensure pricing data is accurate, consistent, and reliable across systems and tools.
- Support the creation and maintenance of price lists, dashboards, and pricing files.
- Identify opportunities to improve pricing tools, reporting, and processes for greater efficiency and usability.
- Partner with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and Finance to support pricing decisions and execution.
- Assist with pricing approval workflows and pricing exception reviews.
- Provide support to commercial teams on pricing policies, tools, and standard practices.
- Assist in evaluating customer pricing opportunities and other commercial scenarios requiring pricing analysis.
- Participate in business reviews and discussions where pricing input is needed.
- Support pricing governance processes, controls, and documentation.
- Help maintain pricing data consistency across pricing systems and databases.
- Assist with ongoing maintenance of price lists, tools, and dashboards.
- Identify opportunities to streamline pricing processes and improve operational effectiveness.
- Support compliance with company pricing policies and approval processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Marketing, Statistics, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in pricing, commercial finance, revenue management, business analytics, or a related commercial or analytical role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into meaningful insights.
- Proficiency with Excel, Power BI, and other data analysis or reporting tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and support projects through completion.
- Detail-oriented with a practical, test-and-learn approach to analysis and process improvement.
- Experience in industrial manufacturing, water technology, infrastructure, or B2B markets.
- Familiarity with ERP, CRM, CPQ, and pricing management platforms.
- Exposure to pricing strategy concepts, value-based pricing, and commercial excellence practices.
