Position Description
We are looking for an Engineer in Platform Server Engineering space who will be focus point for automating BAU and project activities in platform Server/database area. The responsibilities include evaluating and implementing new technologies through PoCs, analyzing current infrastructure for enhancements, and leading modernization efforts.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
Help automate configuration, deployments, monitoring, management in platform services area
Act as the SME in platform space tooling and applications.
Automate repeated tasks and alerts in platform services area
Develop and manage in house built web applications in Platform area
Partner closely with Application Development and Support teams while developing the tools for new services to deliver it seamless and efficiently.
As part of Engineering team, manage and operate platform applications.
Manage, operate, and support enterprise IT infrastructure including servers, virtualization platforms, storage, backup systems, networks, and datacenter facilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement IT infrastructure solutions that align with business requirements
Schedule and document regular changes according to company's change management rules & guidelines
Ensure that platform tools for production environment is kept stable and efficient
Always provide an excellent, fast and responsive service to other teams
Proactively identify infrastructure risks, capacity constraints, and performance issues; recommend enhancements and remediation plans
Stay current with emerging infrastructure, cloud, and datacenter technologies, providing recommendations for continuous improvement and modernization
Requirements
Bachelor/Master degree, in IT/Computer Engineering
Around 5 years of experience in Linux admin experience
Experienced in any configuration management (ansible/puppet/foreman)
Good technical knowledge in any programming language like Java, scripting like Python, bash/Powershell scripting
Development skills
Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of SQL Tuning and debugging.
Experience with databases and storage platform
Experience in Systems , server hardware and Technical documentation
Proficient in anchoring meetings, documenting minutes.
Good communication skills in English, Chinese efficiency will be a plus
