THE ROLE: The Sr. Analyst, Finance, MCS Electric Smart Metering will be responsible be responsible for providing overall financial support for achieving performance goals (i.e., operating margin, co-manufacturer support, product cost support, R&D and Engineering OPEX/CAPEX support.  Assists as required with monthly and quarterly financial submissions and presentation to management as well as ad-hoc analysis.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   

  • Immerse yourself in the Electric business to develop deep understandings of the comprehensive business environment to be able to drive meaningful impact alongside decision makers – be a proactive and strategic co-pilot, not a reactive or passive observer.
  • Supports the overall budget and forecast for the MCS Electric business through understanding of the revenue, margins, expenses, capital investments, special projects, headcount, working capital, etc., ensuring clear understanding of all variances and critical evaluation of input. (Key result: All variances from forecast, budget and prior year can be adequately explained, and improvements that can be made to enhance future forecast accuracy).
  • Prepare the monthly/quarterly/annual reporting requirements for headquarters and internal Senior Leaders with a focus on insights that connect strategy to execution.
  • Develop and implement financial trend reports to identify areas of risks and opportunity within the business in current financial budget / forecasts.
  • Maintains capital investment tracker and works with the team to understand incremental requests and changes to the plan.  Understands and analysis PAR form submission to validate assumptions.  Perform duties of PAR Admin for the MCS Electric business.
  • Partner with the Americas Accounting organization to ensure any accounting treatment impacts are accurately and adequately forecasted and understood.
  • Leverage AI and 80/20 methodologies to drive a continuous improvement culture to implement standardized best practices in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Commitment to demonstrating high-impact behaviors particularly continuous professional development, collaboration and teamwork, and results driven performance.
  • Ad-hoc analysis as-needed by management.  Time would usually be of the essence in these analyses.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based on organizational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting with minimum 4 years of business experience.
  • Must have a working knowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“US GAAP).
  • Must have the ability to engage business process owners in a direct yet professional manner, thoroughly evaluate business processes, and quickly identify potential control gaps.
  • Requires demonstrated skill in written and oral communications and interview skills.
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized. Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess a positive attitude and be able to think creatively, be highly driven, and be self-motivated.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and OneStream skills.
