TITLE: Analyst - Digital Experience

Position Summary:

Are you interested in shaping the future of retail shopping and customer experiences? Do you believe that great customer experiences and innovations are achieved through a fundamental understanding of human motivations, habits, and behaviors rather than luck?

As a Digital Experience Analyst, you are the detective of the digital journey. You will bridge the gap between "what" is happening on our platforms and “why" it’s happening. Using high-fidelity session replay and behavioral data, you will identify friction points, validate hypotheses, and provide the actionable insights our Product, Merchandising and Engineering teams need to improve our understanding of the drivers of best-in-class online shopping experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage modern digital experience analytics (DXA) (specifically Quantum Metric) to observe user behavior, identify technical friction, and quantify the impact on conversion
  • Translate complex session metrics and behavioral datasets into compelling narratives that help teams uncover hidden pain points, debug faster and more efficiently, validate design decisions and improve onboarding and conversion
  • Process queries from various business partners for both ad hoc requests and regular cadence reporting.
  • Utilize findings to drive A/B testing hypotheses and validate the impact of site changes on conversion and user engagement
  • Work cross-functionally with Strategy, Product, UX, Engineering, and Marketing to ensure insights drive actions.
  • Monitor data quality and session health to ensure our analytics tools are capturing an accurate picture of the customer journey.

Qualifications:

  • You have 3+ years of experience in digital experience analytics implementation for e-commerce for both web and mobile applications
  • You have a fundamental understanding of digital user journey across multiple sessions, on-page engagement with content and page features and datasets underlying all web interactions
  • You have familiarity (or eager to reach the next level of expertise) with DXA tools like Quantum Metric, FullStory, ContentSquare, LogRocket, Glassbox, Tableau, Qualtrics, and others.
  • Basic technical knowledge of data visualization techniques (i.e. PowerBI, Tableau) & SQL knowledge as well as familiarity with Google Analytics, such as data analysis, reporting, optimization, tracking, segmentation, attribution, etc.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data storytelling skills, with the ability to translate insights into business and product impact
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to influence across functions and levels
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and deadline-driven
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment

PAY/BENEFITS INFORMATION:

  • Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
  • Subject to eligibility requirements, associates may receive health care benefits (including medical, vision, and dental); wellness benefits; 401(k) retirement benefits; life and disability insurance; employee stock purchase program; paid time off; paid sick leave; and parental leave and benefits.
  • Paid Time Off, paid sick leave, and holiday pay vary by job level and type, job location, employment classification (part-time or full-time / exempt or non-exempt), and years of service. For additional information, please click HERE.
  • AEO may also provide discretionary bonuses and other incentives at its discretion.
