In this key role within the Global Finance Shared Services Team in India, the incumbent of this role will support Supply Chain Finance team in focusing on designing and implementing advanced statistical models to optimize supply chain costs, forecast inventory requirements, streamline procurement strategies, and enhance financial performance across regions and segments. This role requires a proactive, data-driven individual who brings deep analytical expertise and a strategic approach to improving business insights and supporting data-driven decision-making.
Tasks and responsibilities of the position:
Global
- Advanced Predictive Modeling: Develop and refine predictive models using statistical methods, such as regression, time series analysis, and machine learning, to forecast critical supply chain metrics like inventory levels, procurement costs, demand trends, and cash flow optimization.
- Data Preparation and Integration: Perform data extraction, cleaning, transformation, and organization to ensure data accuracy and readiness for analytics and modeling. Integrate data from SAP and supply chain management systems for comprehensive analysis.
- Supply Chain Analytics: Conduct statistical analysis to uncover patterns in procurement, transportation, inventory, and vendor performance, providing actionable insights to drive supply chain efficiencies.
- Data Visualization and Reporting: Create intuitive dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau and Power BI to communicate supply chain insights, cost-saving opportunities, and performance trends to key stakeholders.
- Database Design and Management: Design and maintain databases to support scalable data storage and retrieval, ensuring seamless access for ongoing and future analyses.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Supply Chain Finance Leaders, Procurement Teams, and Operations Analysts to align insights with organizational goals and drive collaborative decision-making.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements in data collection, reporting, and predictive analytics to enhance operational efficiency and forecast accuracy.
- Additional Responsibilities: Embrace new challenges and contribute to innovative projects, adapting quickly to changing priorities in a dynamic supply chain environment
The following are required for the role
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in applied mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years with at least 3-5 years of experience in data analytics, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis within a supply chain or finance context domain
- Strong expertise in Data Visualization tools such as Tableau and Microsoft Excel, with an ability to communicate complex findings effectively.
- Advanced skills in Big Data, Data Structures, and Machine Learning.
- Experience with SQL databases (use and creation)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Java for data manipulation and model building.
- Familiarity with supply chain processes, including inventory management, procurement, and logistics finance.
- Exceptional communication skills for conveying insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
