- Identify business trends and drivers and communicate findings.
- Track and utilize external publications, newsletters, and third-party data sources to understand category, consumer, competitive, and market trends and communicate their impact.
- Synthesize/analyze syndicated and internal data to support the business needs across Boar’s Head internal teams including Marketing, Sales, Innovation, Research & Development, Commercialization.
- Leverage third party data resources to broaden perspective and identify opportunities; third party resources include Circana syndicated point of sale data and Home Scan Panel, Nielsen TDLinx and Spectra geography attributing and targeting.
- Support regular standardized reporting and analysis and distribute to appropriate audiences ensuring accuracy and maintaining confidentiality and integrity of the data.
- Develop understanding of Boar’s Head product portfolio including product attributes, segmentation, seasonality, regionality, and competitive set.
- Transform data sets into stories including accompanying visualizations with a clear narrative.
- Present insights and presentations to internal Boar’s Head teams.
- Possess necessary aptitude to become a domain expert on one or more of Boar’s Head tools.
- Champion curiosity for understanding consumer demographics, geographics, and lifestyles; and how their interactions drive purchase behaviors.
- Work independently or collaboratively to complete tasks and projects.
- Perform all and any other tasks assigned by Boar’s Head management personnel.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (in Business Administration, Marketing or a closely related field) preferred.
- Minimum 1 year experience in the Consumer Products Goods industry in an analytical/category management role preferred.
- Experience with syndicated data (Circana and/or Nielsen) and analysis background preferred.
- Advanced and proven data analysis and reasoning skills.
- Technical understanding and experience of query tools/reporting databases.
- PC Keyboard, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau.
- Excellent/proven analytical and reasoning skills.
- Strong reading and writing comprehension skills, previous business writing curriculum preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint preferred.
- Experience pulling and analyzing syndicated sales data/POS is preferred.
- Experience with advanced analytics tools is preferred.
- Experience with shopper data (loyalty card or panel) is preferred.
