Job Description:
The Sr. Analyst I, Cloud Cost is responsible for analyzing cloud spending and providing actionable insights for optimizing cloud resource usage.
- Analyze cloud spending patterns to identify trends and areas for cost reduction.
- Generate detailed cost reports using AWS Cost Explorer and other cost management tools.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations for optimizing cloud resource usage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cost-saving strategies.
- Monitor and report on cloud cost performance against budget and forecasts.
- Perform other duties that support the overall objective of the position.
Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.
Experience Required:
- 4-6 years of experience in cloud computing, data analysis, or a related field.
- Experience with AWS Cost Explorer and other cloud cost management tools.
License/Certification Required:
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner: Provides foundational knowledge of AWS cloud concepts and billing.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate: Demonstrates ability to design cost-efficient AWS solutions.
- CompTIA Cloud+: Offers a vendor-neutral certification that covers cloud computing principles.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of: Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools. Solid understanding of AWS services and cloud cost management principles.
- Skill in: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
