Roche has established Global Analytics and Technology Center of Excellence (GATE) at Chennai/ Hyderabad to drive analytics & technology driven solutions by partnering with Roche affiliates across the globe.   

As an Analyst/ Senior Analyst, you will act as a dedicated SME to Roche’s global business partners. You will transcend traditional data collection by integrating Clinical/ Commercial Competitive Intelligence (CI), Market intelligence, Business research and social media listening with advanced GenAI-driven analytics. Your goal is to provide high-level strategic foresight using established business frameworks to influence Roche’s global product pipeline and commercial launch strategies.

The Opportunity

1. Social Media Listening & Analytics

  • Stakeholder Sentiment: Monitor social media platforms and digital forums to track opinions from patients and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) regarding new molecules, clinical trial results, and brand experiences.

  • Patient Voice Integration: Identify and summarize unmet needs and patient challenges discussed in online communities to add "real-world" context to traditional market research.

  • Trend Spotting: Proactively "mine" digital conversations to spot emerging trends, areas of opportunity, or potential threats to the business.

2. Integrated Competitive Intelligence

  • Multi-Channel Monitoring: Combine insights from traditional databases (like clinicaltrials.gov or PubMed) with digital signals to provide a 360-degree view of the competitive landscape.

  • Digital Conference Coverage: Track the "online buzz" during major global conferences (ASCO, ESMO, etc.) to capture real-time reactions to competitor data readouts.

  • Event Based Analysis: Flag key "trigger events" in the digital space, such as sudden shifts in stakeholder sentiment or regulatory signals, and assess their impact on Roche brands.

3. Data-Driven Storytelling & Reporting

  • Insight Synthesis: Gather data from various public and proprietary sources and translate them into structured, easy-to-understand "stories" for stakeholders.

  • Actionable Reporting: Generate qualitative and quantitative reports that highlight the "So What?" of social media and market data to support strategic decision-making.

  • Visualization: Use gSuite / MS to present findings in a clear, effective, and structured fashion.

4. Tech & Tool Utilization

  • Efficiency via AI: Use GenAI tools and LLMs to assist in the rapid summarization of secondary research and the synthesis of large volumes of social media text.

  • Secondary Data Proficiency: Ability to understand healthcare-specific datasets (such as IQVIA) and research databases to conduct deep-dive analysis for holistic solutioning.

Who you are

  • You hold a bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience in Strategic Business Research/ Social media Listening & Analytics within Pharma/Life Sciences. Preferably, you have a Master's degree in Life Sciences/Biotechnology

  • Diploma/ certificate in GenAI related courses (Prompt Engineering. etc.)

  • Tech-Savviness: Proven experience or a strong vision for using GenAI tools to automate data extraction - GenAI forward Mindset.

  • Data Expertise: Experience working with leading social media listening platforms such as Brandwatch, Sprinklr and Talkwalker etc. Good understanding of major social platforms (X, Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr etc.).

  • Commercial Acumen: Deep understanding of the clinical & commercial pharma excellence

  • Communication: Ability to influence team members & partners through structured communication and data visualization.

  • Self-Driven Ownership: A proactive "self-starter" who manages low to medium complex projects with minimal guidance in a fast-paced global environment.

  • Team player: Takes a proactive role in contributing to the team’s collective knowledge by sharing best practices in GenAI-driven research and social media analytics.
