Job Description:

At Datasite, we are building and scaling advanced AI solutions to enhance the Datasite platform. We are looking for a motivated AI Engineer to join our growing team, focusing on developing solutions that incorporate internal ML/NLP models, foundational and LLM models, and semantic search. Your work will directly contribute to expanding our AI capabilities and shaping the future of AI-enabled features within our platform.

This is a hybrid role, with a flexible work schedule. Our team members on average work 1-2 days per week in our Heredia office, with the potential for schedule adjustments as needed. This hybrid setup fosters a balance between in-person collaboration and the flexibility of remote work.

Main Responsibilities:

• Collaborative AI Development: Work with a dynamic, cross-functional team of Data Scientists, Engineers, and Product Managers to develop and integrate AI-driven features using Large Language Models (LLMs) and NLP techniques.

• Solution Architecture: Design and develop scalable, maintainable, and efficient AI solutions using Python. Build prompt templates, orchestration chains, and agents for LLMs and NLP applications.

• High-Quality Deliverables: Ensure the quality of technical work by writing clean, efficient code, implementing thorough tests, and adhering to best practices.

• Project Planning & Execution: Collaborate closely with technical leadership to plan, prioritize, and execute AI projects that align with company goals and deliver high-impact features.

• Continuous Learning & Innovation: Stay on the cutting edge of AI, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing technologies, and incorporate them into your solutions. Innovate as part of a team dedicated to expanding Datasite's AI footprint.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent industry experience is also acceptable.

• Experience: 2+ years of experience building services in Python (or similar object-oriented languages) and working within the Software Development Lifecycle.

• AI & ML Expertise: Exposure to AI and Machine Learning techniques, with a strong foundation in text mining, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and understanding.

• Cloud & Microservices: Familiarity with microservices architecture and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, etc.).

• CI/CD & Software Development: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and a solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.

• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present solutions to senior project managers.

• Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for delivering high-quality software.

• Agile Mindset: Enthusiasm for Agile methodology, with the flexibility to adapt to changing needs and work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

• Data Science Exposure: Training or work experience in Data Science, with a focus on data handling and analysis.
