Your Impact
We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to lead the development and operationalization of Physical AI systems across Lowe's stores and supply chain. This role sits at the intersection of robotics, computer vision, machine learning, and data platforms, translating real-world signals from vision, sensors, IoT, and robotics into scalable, production-grade AI systems.

What You Will Do
1. Physical AI Systems & Model Development
- Design and deploy ML/DL models for robotics, computer vision, and Physical AI applications.
- Optimize models for real-time, edge, and scalable AI environments.
- Integrate perception, planning, and decision-making systems across AI platforms.
2. Data Pipeline & Platform Engineering
- Build scalable data pipelines and streaming architectures for CV, IoT, robotics, and multimodal data.
- Develop reusable datasets and feature engineering pipelines.
- Ensure data quality, observability, and efficient data movement for AI workloads.
3. AI Platform & MLOps
- Design and maintain AI platform tools, frameworks, and infrastructure supporting the ML lifecycle.
- Implement CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and platform automation capabilities.
- Optimize GPU/CPU resource utilization for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Implement security, governance, and compliance best practices.
4. Analytical Baselines & Measurement
- Define KPIs, evaluation frameworks, and model performance metrics.
- Lead experimentation, benchmarking, and A/B testing initiatives.
- Use platform insights and user feedback to drive continuous improvement.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with data science, robotics, CV, platform, and business teams to deliver scalable AI solutions.
- Translate business requirements into technical AI capabilities.
- Collaborate across teams to align platform innovation with organizational goals.
6. Leadership
- Mentor engineers and drive engineering and MLOps best practices.
- Foster innovation, technical excellence, and continuous learning across teams.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, math, or related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
4 years of experience in ML platform engineering, data, and MLOps tools, and ML frameworks
3 years of experience working with GPU and CPU infrastructure, optimizing ML models for performance
3 years of programming language experience
Preferred Skills/Education
Master's degree in science, technology, engineering, math, statistics, physics, economics, data science, information science, or quantitative analytics
3 years of experience working with continuous integration/continuous deployment tools
3 years of experience in defining technical requirements and performing high-level design for complex solutions
3 years of experience in SQL and NoSQL databases, Hadoop ecosystem, Druid, Trino, Big Query, Google Vertex AI
Experience in robotics or computer vision
Knowledge of real-time/edge AI systems
Familiarity with Kafka, cloud AI platforms
Retail or supply chain experience
