Sr. Advisor – Journey & Experience Analytics (Memphis, TN)
The Sr. Advisor – Journey & Experience Analytics role focus on measurement clarity, journey insight, and analytics storytelling. While the role’s primary value is in translating data into clear, decision ready narratives, effective data storytelling in this role depends on deep technical and analytical expertise across digital platforms. This foundation is critical to validating data integrity, recognizing measurement gaps, and deriving insights that are accurate, actionable, and trustworthy.
This role ensures site level funnel and experience insights are consistently measured, clearly interpreted, and placed in the right context highlighting meaningful changes in performance, experience health, and user engagement patterns, and surfacing plausible contributing factors when supported by data.
Acting as a strategic analytics partner to Product Managers, this role supports confident prioritization and roadmap decisions by:
• Distinguishing signal from noise
• Identifying material shifts in funnel performance
• Framing insights that inform where deeper investigation, experimentation, or product action is warranted.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Work with cross-functional teams, including marketing, advertising, user experience, technology and others, to combine a strong business acumen with analytics expertise to turn disparate data sets into simple and powerful stories with actionable insights that can drive business decisions and performance optimization.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand key value drivers and challenges within their business.
3. Lead and collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and data engineers to translate business questions into flexible tools and dashboards that scale across the organization, always with end user experience, incremental improvement as well as automation in mind.
4. Translate business needs and results into a useful, visual package to enable quick understanding; identify patterns and trends.
5. Analyze marketing metrics down to the creative level to identify cause-effect relationships between marketing levers and outcomes.
6. Effectively derive analytical insights from a variety of business contexts and communicate those effectively through a range of creative and intuitive visualizations.
7. Determine and unite key metrics and insights that can help improve marketing performance.
8. Act as an evangelist to influence the adoption of data visualization best practice.
9. Deliver and support additional team members to deliver visualizations that are intuitive, accessible, and insightful for business leaders.
10. Develop, maintain and distribute high performing reports, dashboards, and scorecards using visualization tools such as Tableau to track key business information and enable better, faster decisions.
11. Quickly prototype solutions to demonstrate capabilities, refine requirements, and assist with data validation.
12. Continually identify additional data sets that can drive strategy, improve decision making, and automate processes.
13. Support and enable stakeholder teams to better utilize data visualization as a practice for understanding performance and informing business decisions.
14. Evaluate and elevate our visual engineering practices through hands-on coaching and communication.
15. Work across online and offline media teams to develop views that provide a more complete understanding of marketing efforts.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant digital marketing analysis role, including analysis of digital media campaigns (search, display, email) or site optimization using site analytics tools.
- Strong technical and analytical skillset.
- Keen understanding of digital marketing concepts, digital marketing levers and KPIs.
- Demonstrate ability to derive actionable insights that inform business decisions.
- Ability to present data in an intuitive way and expertise in data visualization best-practices.
- Experience with Tableau and other data visualization tools.
- Experience with large data sets (SQL, Excel, Python, etc.).
- Experience with Adobe Analytics.
- Exhibit capabilities in both visual design and data analytics.
- Strong project management experience managing multiple projects.
- Independent and critical thinking.
- Self-motivated with strong intellectual curiosity, especially around defining impacts.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas to business partners and leadership.
- Proven experience working with projects from inception to completion (defining objectives, doing analysis, communicate results and recommend next steps).
Preferred Requirements:
- Digital agency, consulting, or ad tech experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Adobe marketing and analytics cloud platforms.
- Experience working within an Agile environment preferred.
- Knowledge of JavaScript tagging methods and marketing technology API integrations.
