The Sr. Advisor – Employee Relations serves as a trusted partner to employees and people leaders by providing expert guidance on employee relations matters. This role is responsible for conducting thorough investigations, resolving workplace concerns, interpreting policies, and ensuring compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations. The Sr. Advisor will build strong partnerships across Employee Experience, Legal, and operational leadership to support a positive, fair, and inclusive workplace.
Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee & Leader Support
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders on employee relations questions, concerns, and best practices.
- Consult with leaders to promote employee engagement and reinforce company values across all levels.
- Provide guidance on disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans (PIPs), and terminations.
Investigations & Conflict Resolution
- Lead investigations into employee complaints, misconduct, and policy violations.
- Resolve workplace conflicts through effective mediation, communication, and problem-solving.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation for all employee relations matters.
Policy & Compliance
- Develop, review, and update employee relations policies and procedures in alignment with current labor laws and regulations.
- Monitor legislative changes and proactively recommend updates to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Educate employees and leaders on policies, procedures, and employee relations best practices.
- Support internal communications efforts related to EX policy and procedure rollouts.
Employee Experience & Culture
- Conduct exit surveys and analyze trends to provide insights that enhance satisfaction and retention.
- Partner with Employee Experience teams to develop and operationalize retention strategies.
- Support organizational culture initiatives and provide EX consulting as needed.
Data Analysis & Insights
- Lead analysis of employee relations data, including trends in turnover, terminations, PIPs, investigations, and other key metrics.
- Deliver actionable insights and partner with leadership to mitigate risk, improve retention, and strengthen culture.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of HR and Employee Relations experience.
- Proven experience in employee relations, labor relations, or a related HR function.
- Deep understanding of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across all levels.
- Excellent communication, documentation, mediation, and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and integrity.
- Highly organized with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in HRIS and related HR technologies.
Work Location
