The Senior Advanced Software Engineer is a hands‑on technical leader responsible for designing, building, and scaling complex software systems in industrial, connected, and enterprise environments. This role blends deep engineering execution, systems‑level thinking, and technical leadership, operating across product development, platform modernization, and high‑visibility customer programs.
The position is ideal for an engineer who thrives in ambiguous problem spaces, leads by technical example, and partners closely with product, architecture, and operations teams to deliver resilient, high‑quality solutions.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Lead the design and evolution of scalable, secure, and high‑availability software systems across cloud and on‑prem environments.
- Own technical architecture decisions, trade‑off analysis, and long‑term maintainability of platforms and services.
- Drive modern engineering practices including modular design, API‑first development, observability, and automated testing.
Advanced Engineering & Delivery
- Serve as a hands‑on senior contributor, writing production‑grade code and reviewing critical changes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system‑level issues across distributed services and integrated platforms.
- Lead or play a key role in war‑room / critical incident situations, ensuring rapid diagnosis and resolution.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with product management, systems engineering, SRE, and operations to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Support large‑scale customer or program initiatives (e.g., phased rollouts, industrial deployments, or platform upgrades).
- Influence technical direction beyond immediate team boundaries.
Mentorship & Engineering Excellence
- Mentor mid‑ and junior‑level engineers, setting a high bar for code quality, design rigor, and engineering discipline.
- Establish and enforce best practices for secure coding, performance, and reliability.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards, tools, and processes.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as mechanical engineering or science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
- Significant experience in advanced software engineering roles with increasing technical ownership.
- Proven track record of delivering complex, production systems in enterprise or industrial environments.
- Strong proficiency in object‑oriented and/or distributed systems programming.
- Experience designing and operating cloud‑based and hybrid architectures.
- Solid understanding of system integration, data flows, and performance optimization.
- Hands‑on experience with DevOps / CI‑CD practices, system monitoring, and operational readiness.
- Ability to lead through influence, not just authority.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills with a structured, analytical mindset.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
