As part of Honeywell Connected Industrials (HCI) engineering operations, the role will be responsible for defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and schedules and engage with cross-functional stakeholders and manage project risks. This role will also be responsible for driving operational metrics and KPIs for HCI programs. The KPIs include but are not restricted to NPI program performance, revenue tracking, launch timeliness, project cost (EAC). As such, the role must possess technical project management skills and demonstrate business acumen. The role reports into the India Engineering Operations Leader for Process Automation.

Qulaification

:Bachelors / Masters Degree in Engineering

PMP/SAFe Certified would be an added advantage Or willingness to complete the certification with 1-2 yrs

Experience:

  • 8-10 Yrs experience in New Product Development experience and at least 4-5 years leading projects/ leading design ownership.
  • Experience in leading Industrial Software projects will be beneficial since HCI is a software solutions group.
  • Lean Six Sigma process experience is preferred 
  • Working knowledge of NPI Development Process is preferred 
  • Ability to set judicious expectations and manage them with key stakeholders
  • Ability to understand whole system/business perspective, identify and early escalation of risks at the right time
  • Ability to quickly assess unclear, complex, and ambiguous situations and reduce into distinct, clear, timely, and stable direction for the development team. 
  • Good knowledge on basic PM areas like Cost, Time, Risk and vendor management 
  • Familiarity with analysis & reporting tools such as Excel, PowerBI & Tableau
  • Experience in usage of Microsoft project (MPP) /any other scheduling tools would be added advantage
  • Experience with Agile methodology would be added advantage 
  • Ability to make data based judicious commitments 
  • Ability to forecast issues and have the courage to escalate to the appropriate level till an adequate resolution is achieved
  • Assertiveness: Ability to say “NO” when required
  • Good problem solving, Influencing, Negotiate skills and good interpersonal relationship skills
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with internal and external customers 
  • Ability to work with cross- functional teams and globally distributed development teams
  • Exercise clear and concise verbal and written communication skills in different operating environments
  • Skillful in handling tough situations with both internal and external groups
  • Fast learning curve to absorb the domain knowledge/ PM skill areas 
  • Knowledge of portfolio management tools like Accolade would be added advantage 
  • Meticulous planning, executing to the plan by rigorous tracking to meet all key milestone dates
  • Stakeholder Reporting: Provide regular updates on progress, milestones, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to leadership. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and leadership communication are key aspects of the role.
  • Ensure programs/projects/tasks are delivered on time and that they meet financial, performance, quality and reliability goals 
  • Establish strong analytics and reporting to monitor engineering KPIs such as revenue, launch timeliness and other performance indicators to Engineering Leadership to enable informed decision making
  • Learn and able to report project and business metrics ( Earned value management metrics (CPI, SPI, EV).
  • Effective management of all stakeholders
  • Provide accurate and timely project status information, milestones and metrics to key stakeholders
  • Manage communications within team & leadership stakeholders to meet program objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional/global teams effectively to meet program objective

Skills Required
